Hi, I travel a lot and wondering if I could plug my firestick straight into this?

Dear Mr Jaffa Cake, Thanks for your inquiry. ClonerAlliance ViewPro is capable of recording from HDMI, AV, YPbPr, and VGA signal sources, if your source device can output one of these signals, then it's supported. If you have further questions about our product, please feel free to send us an Amazon message.

Apart from the screen, is there any difference between this and the cloner alliance box pro?

Yes, there are other differences. ClonerAlliance ViewPro supports recording to an SD card and can be powered by a battery. Its max bitrate is 18Mbps while ClonerAlliance Box Pro's supported max bitrate is 22Mbps. For more details, feel free to send us an Amazon message.

Does it upscale SD video to HD

I haven’t investigated if that is possible, however, this device fully meets my needs. Very impressed.

Will this record audio only in mp3 format

Dear Tiggey, Thanks for your inquiry. ClonerAlliance ViewPro doesn't record audio-only MP3 files, it supports recording from HDMI, AV, YPbPr, and VGA video sources and records as MP4 format files. If you have further questions about our product, please feel free to send us an Amazon message.
