DJI RS 5, 3-Axis Gimbal for Camera Canon/Sony/Panasonic/Nikon/Fujifilm

I’m extremely impressed with the DJI RS 5 Combo Gimbal Stabilizer! This rig has completely transformed my video work — the stabilization is smooth and rock-steady, even during movement and walking shots. Setup is straightforward, and the build quality feels very solid yet not too heavy. The combo includes everything I need to balance and start shooting quickly, and the ergonomic design makes long filming sessions comfortable. I also love the advanced features like smart tracking and customizable controls — they add so much creative flexibility and make capturing pro-level footage much easier, whether I’m shooting weddings, events, or cinematic B-roll. Overall, this gimbal is a huge upgrade from handheld shooting. It’s powerful, reliable, and truly worth the investment for anyone serious about video.

The tracking module is a real game changer for me. I do a lot of travel content and I can now get in more shots with my family. Other features the included arm with controls and the live feed from the canera module are awesome additions. Often shooting at angles where I can see my camera screen or need to attach a monitor are gone. Lastly the vertical shooting quick release plate is a nice touch. Im coming from an rs3 which required some sort of alternative mounting solution. The tripod is self opening. You open one leg they all open. Seems s Like a minor change but is very nice in practice.

Having owned a few dji gimbals, this is their best iteration yet. The knobs are a game changer to an already stellar system. The one finger easy open tripod? Another fantastic quality of life update. The z axis notification is good in theory but in practice doesn't do anything. It's also tough to see while walking/framing your shot. It also now fully supports panasonic cameras via bluetooth and that just makes things so much simpler as a heavy/daily user of this gimbal. However, note that if you're coming from the RS3/RS4, don't reuse the same base plate even though it does fit. Switch it out for the new included mount. I still had the mounting plate on the camera from the RS4 and it was causing the camera to tilt forward slightly. I swapped it out thinking it wasn't going to solve my issue but it did.

The DJI RS 3 I ordered from this seller came with a tripod base that had a 1/4" screw which is supposed to fit into the bottom of the battery grip of the gimbal. However, the battery grip has a 3/8" opening so the tripod base does not fit into the battery grip. It's so loose it's unusable. To make this work, I've had to order a male to female adapter adapter and hoping that works. The seller evidently did not check the product prior to shipping to make sure all parts were correct and in working order. Seller offered a return but that involves sending everything back and I need this for my work now. It would have been nice for the seller to have checked the product before sending it out and I will not purchase from this seller again. The actual gimbal works but until the adapter arrives, I have to balance with one hand while calibrating with the other.

I've had this for a few months now, it's performing really well, and allowing me to get some great footage. Pretty easy to balance, setup, and register via your phone. After the initial setup I haven't connected it to my phone since. Well worth the investment, the footage I'm getting gives that "cinematic" look that everyone loves.

Actually is a noticable slight upgrade from the RS3 and RS4. I wouldn't go out of the way to get this if you have those already, but for someone who does a large volume of work on Gimbals because of what I shoot, the small changes are very appreciated. Build wise, it's got the same build and feel as the RS4 and RS3, but those extra adjustment knobs for the two extra axis are amazingly useful. It made balancing the 5 a LOT faster than the 4 and 3. Also something nice is all the parts are stealthier black now, which aesthetically I appreciate. So things like the lock down knobs are black instead of silver. The gimbal tripod feet is incredible, and something I appreciate. When you lift one side, all of them open. I had replaced all of my other gimbal feet with the Falcam Treeroot before hand because the falcam did this, but it's nice to have a DJI branded one. So just a heads up, the basic kit DOES NOT come with the tracking module, but you can use the RS4 Mini's module on this. Battery life is consistent with the RS4, and all the accessories from the RS4 and RS3 work also. Very easy to setup if you are comfortable with gimbals.

Bra produkt men jag har svårt att balansera rätt. Jag har suttit många timmar, följt youtube tutorials men får det aldrig så "perfekt" som man vill ha det, kan dock bero på att mitt objektiv är 24-70mm zoom. Men funkar ändå bra och gör sitt jobb. Extremt skönt att den låser axlarna och man inte behöver balansera om gång efter gång.

Estaba pesando en comprar el Rs4 o incluso la versión Pro. Pero realmente no existe una mejora sustancial entre los modelos salvo por el modo viertical y algunas cuantas mejoras en el sistema de estabilizado En mi caso no utilizo tanto el estabilizador salvo que el proyecto lo requiera, cuando compre este modelo lo hice pensando en que no tendría que comprar un modelo reciente por lo menos en unos 3 años. También compre la versión simple sin todos los accesorios ya que cuento con motores de enfoque externos tilta para montar una black magic 6k pro y en los casos donde requiera foco automático montaría alguna de mis fx30 o fx3. En conclusión no gastes tu dinero en el último modelo de estabilizadores, mejor invierte en otras áreas como luz o cristales. El estabilizador no lo es todo.

After upgrading from a Weebil S, I find the tech on this piece of kit to be insane. To think I’ve been missing out on all these cool bells and whistles that would have made my life so much easier over the last few years is nuts. The intelligent track module is good - but the camera movement with it can be janky. The gimbal feels snug in my hands and I’m slowly learning the interface. Combined with the app, this is an essential piece of kit that every serious videographer should at least look into.
