I purchased this to use as a costume. Luckily I was wearing it with a corset, so I could tuck it up. Based on the reviews and the size chart and got a 5XL. I could work with too big but not too small. I'm about 5' tall and 175 lbs. My normal sizes are large, extra large or 14(it depends on the item) . This was way too large. The shoulder seam was several inches down my arm. The sleeves were an inche past my fingertips. But I received a lot of compliments. It held up in the wash when washed in a net bag. I would buy it again in my normal size.
