Low priced camera with high price features!!!
The media could not be loaded. The price is what made me want to check it out. I'm not tech savvy enough to try setting up octopi or any of that stuff. This was a very new product on the market, had quite a few reviews. And they were 90% or higher ratings reviews. So, I picked it up and finally after a month of fixing printers and producing a mount that I actually liked, I got to set it up completely last night. The image quality is awesome, the app is easy to navigate, you can control quite a few things from your phone with this #Beaglecam.Mintion support person has been there beside me, helping, answering any dumb questions I might have. They know exactly what my problem is and have gone out of their way to try and explain, with pictures and PM's.I'm down to learning how to transfer G-code so that I can see EXACTLY what stage of the print I'm at. And I believe ifnthat is done correctly, I will also have solved how to acquire the time lapse videos off the camera from each print as well. The instructions on the printed manual are pretty much worthless. I would recommend they print a single page quick setup sheet, and then a QR code or link directly to their homepage. THERE IS THE NATIONAL TREASURE of all information on the Beaglecam. At 45 yrs old, paper instructions were always invaluable. But nowadays not so much.I could just go on and on, and I probably should. But, here's the bottom line. If you are tech challenged, have not been 3d printing for more than 1yr and are new to your printer also? BUY THIS CAMERA!!It's way easier than learning CAD or the slicing software. I honestly thought I was going to regret buying this. Figured $75 was the chance I had to take. Because after you get your printers going and calibrated correctly and learn how to adjust things as they are printing, you're going to want to watch it print while you are off doing something else. Or perhaps you have a multiple day print. Friends, unless you're retired, your butt has to go to work. But, Beaglecam is on the job watching and ready for you to check in periodically. In conclusion, I've been hearing mixed reviews on OTHER China based technology companies and items when it comes to their after sales customer service and help.NOT MINTION!!! Whoever has been with me these past couple evenings helping me, is just wonderful. I don't typically leave reviews this long, UNLESS the product is crappy and I need to go into Alot of details. They asked if I would be willing to leave a review about my experience with their product. Hell yes I would!!Oh, one more thing, this all started when I was getting the final pieces off the print bed for my custom mount, and I expressed how excited I was to get that camera back up and going after not having it for over a month with the @Mintion . They reached out that night and asked if there was anything I NEEDED HELP WITH??? Wait, a company reached out to ME..?Not me reaching out to them first?? Incredible. They are a young(er) company, with from what I can tell, a great product on their hands. And having that Customer Support to go along with it? Hard to place a value on actual human to human customer service that works.I will be getting one for each of my printers, as I get the money for them.I hope my LONG winded review was helpful, and that you give them a try.

A 3d printer must have
The media could not be loaded. First, What a "camera", but it's way more than that. I was looking into the Raspberry Pi, but didn't want to go through the setup hassle. I'm so happy I found this camera instead. I bought this originally for the time-lapse, but I have since found out it's way more than just that. After the "very" easy setup, I was up and running in no time. I did have a few issues at first, that, for the most part, were user error. Besides being a great time-lapse camera, it is a work horse that gives you control of your printer on your computer and cell phone remotely. It saves so much time as you can set up your gcodes and upload them to the camera while it's printing, so it's just a touch of a button to get the next print job running after you remove the last print. Even on the low res setting, the quality is great, along with the focal length. I attached a still pic of a time-lapse in motion that is in the "low" res setting, along with the time-lapse that was low res that I had to reduce the quality by 90% to be able to attach and still the quality is great, with pics of my mount setup. The price point is amazing, that is only second to the fantastic customer service and communication, thank you, Apealy! There are a few suggestions I have to make an almost perfect product even better.1. It needs an On/Off switch, so it doesn't have to be unplugged to shut it off when not in use.2. In my observation, when the printer is shut off and back on, the camera has to be unplugged and plugged back in for it to re-connect.3. Add all the printer controls the app has to the computer control.4. Add a way to adjust the lens without having to take the case apart or print the mod, so you don't have to.5. Add 5G to Wi-Fi connect.6. Add a small cut out next to the SD card slot to make the card easily accessible.7. Add a standard, 1/4-20 tripod screw mount to the bottom of the base.8. If possible, make the viewable area of the camera higher to accommodate tall prints. As I said, I'm so happy with this camera purchase, these are just my observations that might help for upcoming upgrades. In conclusion, Fantastic product that you won't be sorry you purchased.

Great product to be able to remotely control and view your print jobs.
Product is made of a cheaper plastic but for the value on what you gain out of being able to remotely control your printer, view it in color or b/w. I did use the time elapse initially but disabled it as it was slowing down my print job. Each time it goes through a cycle, it brings the bed forward so it can take a photo of it. Great for content creators but day to day use, there's no need for it. Setup was quite easy, has a web browser app that you can access on your home network and can be accessed outside your network by mobile app. Make sure you put a strong password in front. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars because some recent firmware is causing it to say "Wifi Connected" about 3-4 times before the print job starts up. The browser does get flaky at times causing it to kind of freeze, refreshing browser brings you back to real time viewing.
