Is this an authetic yeti rambler?

No. I ordered 3 different items from them and they look and weigh differently from an original Yeti I purchased directly from the manufacturer. Tried to save money and paid the price. Here they sell replicas that don’t keep cold as long and the clear lids are extremely hard to push down and secure.

A lot of reviews here are saying they got Yetis that were cheap bootleg knockoffs. How can I be sure my purchase is legit?

1st, don't buy one out of someone's trunk in a parking lot. 2nd, google name of seller and make sure their legit. 3rd look on bottom for sticker w/serial # and register it.

Is it for both hot and cold drinks?

Yes it is but don’t expect the hot to be as cold as the cold it’s absolutely awesome for could water and does do very well for hot coffee

Can you buy a lid that screws on ?

No, it only allows for the suction component. Having said that, I have dropped it several times, and I’ve had it fall over in bed while I’m asleep and on all occasions it hasn’t spilt or leaked.
