Fantastic machine - excellent value for money
I don't often write reviews but felt that the Almond Cow plant milk maker definitely warranted a few words of appreciation. Although pricey this machine really is first class at producing quality plant based milk. In the long run I believe it will save me money - my very first batch of oat milk tasted delicious with nothing artificial in it! I have subsequently made almond milk too. It is so simple to use and clean up is easy. The website offers a whole host of recipes for various types of milks and recipes. I spent a lot of time reading reviews of all the available nut/plant milk making machines and I am glad that I bought Almond Cow. This machine is solely for making plant based milks - I am happy with this choice as I already have a soup maker, food processor etc as there are other machines that do more than just make milk. I can highly recommend this machine - excellent quality.

Perfect
Out with the nut bags, fuss and mess, So simple to use and makes great oat milk at a fraction of the cost of buying it, all parts are solid and well made, easy to clean and use, without doubt it is worth the price, better to clean than a lot of other machines I have looked at, easier to use as well. I wanted a simple way to make oat milk { does loads of others as well }that I take daily, this machine fills all my needs and more, the only negative is its noisy but for the few moments it takes that is not a problem for me.

Fantastic
I was so sceptical at first but it’s great. What a fantastic product. From the start it’s so easy to use and makes great milk. It’s so versatile. You can make milk within a few minutes and so easy to clean. Definitely worth the money.

Load of rubbish
Ours lasted 3 months, started off making decent milk but ended up serving us dishwater (see photo). Emailed the company a few times but they kept coming back with excuses, DONT buy, go to local health food store instead.

Robust machine but the nut "milk" it makes is watery & unpleasant; creamy or milky it is not
It's a robust machine and crushes the nuts well. However describing the almond or other nut milk as creamy is misleading. It's basically water that has been whizzed up with crushed nuts so the water is flavoured by the nuts and then has a suspension of ground nuts in it. This will settle out and needs mixing again before you use it. But it tastes watery. It is not creamy or even a milk like consistency. It isn't like manufactured nut milks but they have additives to thicken them and keep the nuts mixed in with the water so not surprising. We bought the machine so we could stop using ultra processed nut milks which have some unpleasant additives and come in environmentally unfriendly tetra packs. However it was a mistake. We have just given up on these plant based milks as making your own with this machine is pretty pointless. It makes nut water at best. You won't make a product anywhere near the milk like consistency and taste of the ultra processed versions. Now i just have a very expensive gadget that's of no use. I would not recommend this product.

Superb buy
Superb machine. Easy to use, clean and make proper pure oat milk within less than a couple of minutes. Has made bought oatmilk a thing of the past and quickly paid for itself.

Great big has a flaw - But great Customer Service
I would say great for making large qualities of lant based milk however the filter basket has started coming off during the milling process. I looked online and annoying there are no spare filter baskets (check yourself) so the machine is pretty useless without this key component. The customer service is based in the USA, I'm hoping they will send a replacement - else is £300 down the drain. ** Update ** Customer service has been very reactive, the newer machines has had a redesign to resolve the issue I had. Although out of warranty for a reasonable charge a replacement head and filter is on its way.

The best milk maker!
I'm so glad that I made this purchase! I have been looking for an easy way to make oat milk for a while now, and this machine is the answer. The delivery was so quick and the machine itself is the best milk maker I have tried. It really takes no time at all, I had made my milk and cleaned up in 5 mins. I tried making the oat milk on the Almond Cow website and it is delicious and full of flavour. I can’t recommend this machine enough!

I love how fast and easily the Almond Cow makes plant-based milk as well as the fact that I can control the ingredients going into my milk (— no more store-bought vegan milk laden with unhealthy oils, additives and preservatives!). It is much less taxing than having to make plant-based milk using the blender and cheesecloth method. It is well worth the investment for this alone. However, the resulting plant based milk is a little gritty (having tried making almond milk and pumpkin seed milk), so it would be worth running the liquid through a cheesecloth anyway. In addition, the pulp that results from making plant-based milk actually does still contain quite a bit of milk, and I find that I do need to run that through a cheesecloth to extract more plant-based milk. Having to extract this smaller amount of liquid (maybe 0.5-0.75 cup) is still less effort and less time-consuming than extracting all the liquid (typically 3-4 cups) through the blender and cheesecloth method. Moreover, some people may find that the resulting plant-based milk is perhaps a bit too thin for their liking. This is because there is minimum amount of liquid that must be placed in the Almond Cow prior to using it (5 cups of water) as well as a maximum amount of nuts/seeds/raw ingredients that can be placed in the metal ingredient holder (1 cup). There are ways to get around it (see Almond Cow’s Youtube video on how to get thicker milk) like putting 500ml of water in the collector cup and then placing the metal ingredient holder inside the collector cup and then inside the Almond Cow, but if you need a larger amount of plant-based milk than 500ml, then you need to do this over a few batches which can make your kitchen table top a bit messy. It is still less time-consuming and physically less painful than straining a cheesecloth holding 4 cups of liquid using the blender and cheesecloth method, so all in all, I am happy with my purchase.
