Eyeglass Retainers and Eyewear Holders

My husband wears bifocals, but he needed to raise one earpiece up off his ear for the bifocal line to be in the correct place. He tried having the optician adjust the frame, but it wasn't enough. I found these Wedgees. I added one to the earpiece that he needed to raise, and it worked perfectly for him. FYI, as another reviewer mentioned, the Wedgies are not clear. They are whitish. My husband could care less as they match his hair!

The item arrived very quickly. Not sure what I was expecting but they were uncomfortable and very noticeable on the arm of my glasses. Most people thought it was a hearing device. I ordered the clear ones. I edited this to include that I have very (crew cut type) short dark hair. The wedge did lift the glasses to a level fit. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying them as the price is reasonable.

This is a review on the clear ones which are rubbery. I also got the black ones which are made of some spongey material. They both work well. The difference is that the black ones are just a little more inconspicuous if you care about looks while the clear, rubbery ones are slightly more noticeable (although perhaps slightly more effective, but not sure.) One thing I can address is that the rubbery ones (this product I am reviewing and you are looking at now) did NOT pull my hair. Ok, I am a man and have short hair, but I am very very very sensitive to sensory stuff and and even the slightest tugging or pulling would drive me up a wall. I did not find that this texture of rubber did that at all.

Not only did they not keep my glasses from slipping, it hurt to put them through my hair when slipping my glasses on. I bought them to even out my glasses on my face, that didn’t work either. A waste of money.

I hate wearing glasses because of the fact that no matter how well they fit, eventually start sliding and I have to constantly have to push them up. I came across this product so I decided I would try them. They have a lot of positive reviews and are cheap enough so I figured what do I have to lose. I received them way earlier than I expected which was a plus. They were very easy to put on, another plus. They actually work very well and keep my glasses from sliding down at so I was extremely pleased. My only problem is that after using for a while they started to hurt. I think that if the length was a little shorted and the width was cut back they would be perfect. Maybe make them in different sizes but other than that they work very well.

While they do keep my glasses from slipping it is way too much plastic for behind my ears. They make my ears sick out. After several hour they began to make my ears sore. I wish they made them with far less material.

I've spent the last year trying to find a solution for my perpetual dorkiness. I have a pretty narrow and steep nose so I've been plagued by slipping glasses my whole life. I've tried adhesive nose pads, waxes, powders, and every other quasi solutions for nerdiness. This is legitimately the only product that I've found that actually does what it says it does. At first I thought these would be super noticeable and worse than the drooping glasses but to my shock they exceed my expectations. They discreetly tuck behind your ears hidden from the world and securely mounts your frames comfortable to your face, even during moments of high actively like jogging and sports. Absolutely recommend these!!!!!
