Sawyer Products Premium Permethrin Insect Repellent for Clothing, Gear & Tents

I walk a Black Lab in the local hills and it often picks up ticks. The Lab has a vets injection every season and you can see the ticks climbing out of it's coat as it has a yearly Tic injection.. but that does NOT help me. I looked for a suitable spray I could apply to my clothing to detter ticks but none worked. Afriend told me about SawyersPermthrin but I couldnt find any in the UK so I emailed Amazon and surprisingly got through to a manger and she was surprised it wasnt retailed in the UK. Well, I went out the other day in some very tricky areas and came back with no ticks, so I very happy with this product. It was easy to apply to my clothing the day before.

complete waste of money.. mosquitoes were just hanging around the surfaces i sprayed as if there was nothing

This is the stuff. I’ve been using it for ten years while working our forested land and mushroom foraging every spring. Amazon’s price is clearly the best. One bottle at the local sporting goods store costs about as much as two bottles here. Be smart with it: clothes only, never on skin, and keep it away from cats. Used exactly as the instructions say, it lasts through at least three washings as long as you don’t dry the clothes on high heat. Before I started treating my clothing I would routinely pick up 5-10 ticks and head straight for the shower the moment I got back to the house. Now I’m almost always tick free. When a tick does crawl onto treated clothes it is clearly uncomfortable, mildly satisfying to watch, and usually falls off after just a few steps. Extremely satisfying. For a little extra entertainment I keep a mason jar with a cotton ball and a few drops of Sawyer in it. Any tick I pull off myself or a pet goes in the jar. They look miserable in there. After ten years of real use in tick country this product has earned every star.

Great product. I applied this stuff to all my outfits for an african safari and I hardly had any bugs on me the whole time. Then, when returning home, I wore the clothes out to my land to do some work in the woods and noticed absolutely zero ticks on me, which is amazing considering how many I typically find. I can honestly say this stuff keeps the ticks away - I'll ocassionally find one or two after spending all day in the thick stuff, but I'm used to finding 10+ on me after a day like that, so this stuff really is well worth it. My clothes have been through 3 or 4 washes with it so far and it still seems to be working well. Almost due for a new application so I'll order more soon.

Idk whether I should be concerned or just impressed. This stuff really works. Put it on my clothes as instructed worked perfectly mosquitos and an area I know there are ticks all around, not a single bite. Had ants crawling in my house and didn’t have any ant spray I thought it might work. I sprayed it on the line killed all the ants and they haven’t been back for three days now. Have an area on my porch at the door that red wasp always like to sit because the cool air leaks out on hot days thought why not sprayed it haven’t seen a wasp there in days when there were 3-4 always there every day.

Expensive, but save my daughter from being eaten alive in Costa Rica. Bought this to spray my daughter's clothes before her trip to Cost Rica. She and her friend were going to be staying in a jungle Air BNB, as well as doing many activities in the jungle; hiking, zip lining, etc. She got a few bites, but normally she get's way worse. So, I think it worked.
