I used this to mount an antique bed to a Zinus bed frame via Sleep Master Headboard Bracket. The combination worked well. The Down Hooks were very strongly made.

Ehh pain
The hooks allow for multiple settings but the hardware could be improved. It would be good to provide washers. A design where the bolts could be tightened after the foot and headboards should be considered. This would be as simple as having actual bolt heads rather than flat screws.
