Works Great
I needed to do an underground run from my house to my garage and decided on fiber between two Ubiquiti switches to future proof myself a bit and protect it from surges due to ground energy if lightning were to strike nearby.Living very far north I was concerned about burying this too shallow but decided it wouldn’t be a big deal if I had to replace it after winter so it was worth a try. I buried this about 5-6 inches underground last summer and it held up throughout the winter and now into spring with the melt off and ground water from the thawing ground.I didn’t use PVC or any other protection and just buried the wire directly. So far everything has worked flawlessly.

Cable feels like it was built well, tested before, during and after burial. Throughout is 100%
**Update 12/15/21**The cable has been operational and trouble-free during all four seasons. I have faith this install will perform for years to come.Installed this cable between my detached garage and home in Minneapolis, MN. The purpose was to move away from a wireless bridge setup that has needed reboots on a regular basis. We run two IP Cameras from the garage and need a solid hardwire trunk between our home network and the garage. This cable was trenched along 70 feet of soil at ~20 inches deep, to clear the frostline. I used weathertight conduit from the terminals, on it's way down to the trench bottom to ensure a safe and secure install. We tested the cable before, during and after the install to ensure once the labor was carried out that the cable remained functional. I ran some tests along the network and the throughput pushed the max of our network infrastructure, ~896Mbps.Very happy with the quality of the direct burial cable as well as the pigtail ends. The LC connectors feel sturdy and the pulling through short conduit 3/4" with the help of a stiff RG-6 coaxial cable to fish was suitable. Just ensure you squirt some dishsoap or cable lube in there to assist.I will ensure to update this review once this cable has gone through the four-season of Minnesota.

Perfect for Home use
I've fusion spliced my own fiber professionally for sometime. However when it came to my own home I used RiteAV pre-made Fiber. It was much cheaper than buying a Single mode spool and fusion splicing my own ends on a 6 or 12 Strand Cable.I Ran 4 of these direct burry. 3 of them from the house to my Demarc outdoor rack. and 1 from the demarcation rack to my workshop. We have 8 acres so I wanted to use single mode fiber for future flexibility. It Single mode allows me to patch one of the strands from the house to one from the workshop and do a passive connection without worrying about the insertion loss. I use BIDI SFP+ modules with the Single mode fiber to allow me to use a single strand per use to get more out of my runs.I'm not sure how long they will hold up direct buried but we ran these right beside our main power feed to the house in the trench 36" deep so it's unlikely a rodent will chew threw it, and it's 24" deep to the workshop beside the UF Cable to power it. We've had it in for around 4 months so far with no problems.

Installed with success!
I had to run 250m between buildings. I've dealt with armored direct-bury cable in the past, and had concerns about how well non-armored fiber would work. While I definitely took more time to shade the bottom of my trench than I might have otherwise, the cable wasn't treated like fine china during the installation ... it got laid in the ground, run through conduit, plumbed through a wall, coiled excess hung on the wall. And at first connection? 100% success. I'd buy this product again.

Quality fiber optic cable at the length you need
This is a good way to run fiber when you don't need to put end on a bunch of pairs. The jacket slides will in conduit and it is nice and heavy, not cheap snagging insulation. I appreciate being able to order the length needed and having it delivered to my doorstep.

This is a really good cable
I tried some of the thinner basic cables, they are just way too fragile. This thing is wrapped and sturdy. It looks like coax, but not really that big, it's about the diameter of Cat6. It is less prone to kink, but don't crush it or overbend it. Having said that, it's just what I needed to run outside. I buried it in pretty rock-free soil, and will see how it holds up. I put it inside split wire loom, it's cheap and sturdy and you don't have to fish it through with the delicate ends. It provides a big assist against kinking, tangling, rocks, and helps with the pull. Recommend the combo!3/8" split wire loom I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072Q9V7VB/

Armor is very thin
The fiber worked ok, but for being labeled "direct bury" the armor is very thin and fragile. I did bury it mostly successfully, but it got pretty beat up.
