My cat was scratching the chairs in my dining room despite having multiple scratching posts in other rooms and a huge cat tree. I needed to add a scratching post in the dining room, but most are so ugly. I saw this one and thought maybe it would look better. It does! It isn’t exactly a realistic-looking tree, but it is more decorative than a usual scratching post. Even better, my cat has left the chairs alone.

This palm tree-style cat scratching post fits my house perfectly. And more importantly, both of my cats approved this cat post immediately and started to play with the small ball hanging on top of the post. Overall, this cat scratching post is both a nice decoration of the house and a joy for my cats. Would recommend.

Pole too high for such small base. The chip wood of the base crumbled as the pole fell over, no stability at all unfortunately, I sent it back the next morning..

Cat ran up ready to scratch this adorable tree as Intended sending tree into a tippy rocking motion eventually pinching her back paw! All 9.6lbs of her is NOW hesitant to use this! CATS are about stability with many sensory nerves in paws needing sure footedness yet more cat products tip/break! 12 hours later she’s walked by 4 times wanting to scratch BUT passes on for older stable shredded scratcher! Paid too much for appearances /natural products & then cheap out base 15.5” wide held together by material only in hopes a washer/screw keeps halves together? For $50 that base should be larger/heavier STABLE like REAL WOOD ? my bad for not checking weight of before ordering as my 1st clue and Will be returning!
