Panasonic CR1616 3.0 Volt Long Lasting Lithium Coin Cell Batteries in Child Resistant, Standards Based Packaging, 1-Battery Pack

This is a good product. I used it in my remote starter.

I bought this battery for my car key. Since most retailers don't sell this battery anymore, I luckily found it on Amazon. It's very solid in terms of longevity and does the job.

We have two identical Timex ladies watches in the household. Both use a CR1616 button cell, which is a bit smaller and thinner than the very common CR2032. The last time we needed a CR1616, we bought a 2-pack at one of those "Lottsa Batteries" type of stores and used one cell. A year later that first cell had given out and was swapped out for the second cell in the package. Despite being unused, it had also gone dead (down to 2.8V) and would not reliably power the watch. I ordered the Panasonic cell and it worked fine. While I was at it, I checked the battery in the other watch and it was also a Panasonic that's probably been in there for at least 2 years. This is NOT a case of getting what you pay for. The battery store batteries were actually more expensive, per cell, than the Panasonics.

Key fob needed a new battery. Put this in and it worked. The battery itself is great. The packaging was a bit ridiculous. Easily could have put a thousand of these in there and still had spare room.

I had purchased an Energizer 1616 at a local hardware store. Tried very hard to get it into place on key fob but it was a No-Go. So before I wrecked the fob, I purchased this Panasonic CR1616 from Amazon and hurrah.. it fit. And it fit just perfectly.. It was a bit of challenge to get it into the slot without breaking the fob, but it worked. The battery that was replaced was also a Panasonic.. lesson learned.

My Honda pilot key fob wasn’t working so I tried this new battery and now it works great!

Lasted about 3 months in a key fob. Last one only lasted about 3 months. Short life. Not a good value as original battery lasted sbout 5 years. Will try a different brand.

Worked great in my key fob

Bad quality. I bought it from Amazon sold by a vendor called Vendu par at $3.99 for my car key. I received it in late February to replace the old Panasonic battery bought from a chain store 5-year ago that did not function when temperature dropped below 16 degrees Celsius. This one functioned well for the first two months and then deteriorated quickly and by early May it behaved like the 5-year old battery. The packing is excellent with a chrome Panasonic logo but I would say that is the main production cost. I regret that I actually paid 10 times dearer than buying an authentic one at $8 from a supermarket.

Installed it in a Baby G watch in Aug 2024. Already dead Feb 2025. Very disappointed
