Large Wall Damask Stencil Border Faux Mural Design #1021 25" x 6 1/8"

I enjoyed this stencil very much. I purchased an 18" × 20".. I wouldnt go much smaller i youre doing an entire wall... You just need to know what you're in for. Its time consuming and you need much patience!.. but i love this kind of thing and its therapeutic to me. I did an accent wall in my nursery.I googled and you-tubed about stenciling before starting.. i used a small (3/4 in diameter) stencil brush to apply my paint.. less less less is more. You dab your brush, but then 'unload' or dab much of it off onto paper towel, then apply to stencil. It will leak or bleed if you have too much.I actually used 2oz. Bottles of "martha stewart acrylic craft paint"- 'Pearl' finish and 'antique silk' was the color. Bought at Michaels Craft stores. Only needed 3-4 bottles for my entire 9.5 ft wall.. when i had thought id need a bottle per stencil.. but was so wrong... I got through 7-10 stencils before i needed a new bottle.Be careful with most regular wall paint since it is thinner, and has more tendancy to bleed.. you need to unload much of the paint before applying brush or roller to stencil.. i would test on cardboard to get the feel of it.I honestly finished in a few weeks.. spending a couple nights a week doing it while kids were in bed... maybe 15 hours!! Lol, but i love it.

I bought this stencil to do the wall behind my bed. I used silver metallic paint, which I personally love. I also bought the stencils essentials tool kit, which probably wasn't necessary because I only used the roller. You are getting ONE large stencil, which was fine with me. But, be aware that this takes a long time to do. After you roll the paint onto the stencil...you have to let it dry at least 5 minutes before you can remove the stencil from the wall and go on to the next. This took me almost 6 hours to do. But, it was well worth it. So, you have to have patience....I cleaned while each stencil was drying. But, for the price....this stencil is totally worth the time and effort you put into the job.

I'm doing my whole wall, and so far it's perfect. You don't have to flatten it, just tape all the corners to the wall and it's fine. I'm tapping it on using a foam brush. It does take a while, but not in a frustrating way since lining it up is easy. It's a bit like doing a coloring book. Let's see how I feel on the 50th repetition.

The design and dimensions were exactly as shown. The only problem I had was doing several repeats because it's not very large. But I knew that beforehand. I selected the middle part of the wall so that I could use the stencil standing on the floor/sitting down. Would've been a nightmare to try to do so many repeats on the top. Use painters tape to hold the stencil in place. Overall, does what it promises!

After searching for the perfect design to give my walls an elegant look I finally found the one!A few suggestions when using this stencil:* If your walls are textured like mine, use a painter's masking tape to stick the stencil. I didn't know the walls shouldn't be textured for a sticker stencil like this, and the spray readjustment glue also didn't work but masking tape did.* This stencil has some very intricate detail so it's best to use small sponge brushes and dab with a little bit of paint rather than go at it with a paint roller. My stencil was 19"x21 1/8", I used 2" brush. It takes longer but definitely worth the hard work.* Ideally, I would have preferred a more sturdy material for the stencil because after a few coats you might find the paint clogging smaller details, and it's definitely not recommended to pull off dried paint because it will loosen the stencil. I don't know what other ways could be used to clean the stencil without destroying it. Though this is still good enough material for the price.Gorgeous stencil overall!

I am a professional decorative painter and this is the worst stencil I have ever purchased! It arrived in a padded envelope and was rolled up. It will make it very difficult to place the stencil onto a flat wall since the stencil is already curled. The stencil motive was not weeded out and the material was extremely thin and looked flimsy. Great looking motive online, unfortunately did not live up to my expectations. Returned item the same day. Very disapointed in this product.

Worked well, the design was perfect. I got two stencils because my wall was large and I figured I would have to cut one to get the edges right. I ordered both stencils separately, a week apart, I got one that was a white plastic and one that was a clear plastic. Both worked and were the same design and size. I used the white plastic stencil for 90% of the work but by the end it was starting to buckle and pucker really badly so I switched to the clear plastic one, the clear plastic one I also cut once I got to the edges so I could paint them more easily.

This stencil is awesome! I've never stenciled before so I was worried it would be hard or fall apart after a few uses. But not all- it's also Washable which you will need to do b/c after about 10 times the little cut outs start to shrink in size do to paint build up. No biggie thoughI used a 2 inch round bristle brush with Light Body Metallic Acrylic paint - less is more, go in circular motion, wipe of brush b/t uses, take your time. Each stencil only took 5 minutes - the cool thing about this stencil is you can pull it off while it dries and it doesn't get all messy. I'm assuming the bigger the stencil the bigger the brush -The paint will hold up in bathroom with humidity and heatSee picsHighly recommend
