This is perfect for the $24 generic uni-directional lav mic available on Amazon, "LP01C2". The supplied clip with that mic is not reversible, and doesn't grip well. I'm glad I found this replacement. It's easily reversible without removing from the mic, via the rotating design. The clip itself is nicely-sized and grips well without tearing at clothing. The quality you expect from Shure, and reasonably-priced. I believe that the diameter of this clip is 11mm.

The clips work very well.

These are all-metal and sturdy. They do not have the very sharp teeth that some clips have, thus these are not as likely to tear clothes. They're a little smaller [shorter] than I'd prefer for easy handling, and the mechanism for swiveling only works in one direction (I'd prefer it swivel in both directions) --- but they work well overall. The metal ring means it's tricky to get the microphone in or out of the clip, but at least the holder won't break as easily as the plastic holders of other brands.

I needed this mic clip for use with an old Samson mic that's quite a bit smaller in diameter. I happened to have some vacuum hose in my garage (from car-resto days), so I cut a 3/8" length piece and slipped the old Samson into it, then placed them both into the Shure clip. It all looks like it was manufactured that way and works great!

I was thinking this *might* be another flimsy plastic item that would 'deteriorate' fairly quickly with use. But the photo looked promising and I needed a microphone clip. Turns out it is nicely made, metal with a glossy metallic coating. Inspires much more confidence than the usual plastic trifle that comes with cellphone headsets, etc. I thought the price would have been a bit stiff for a pair of plastic tie clips, but it seems appropriate to a pair of nicely made and sturdy tie clips.

Needed a replacement for shure lapel mic that came with pg58 wireless H7 system. Older holder caused mic to slip and created interference. The clip slipped right on and has been used for months with no problem. Live the fact that it comes in a pair.
