Singing and pkaying
This book was purchased for a group where I volunteer. It has helped non-musician adults learn about the basics of music, how to read it, and what we are talking about in choir. I have work with a small group that ranges from proficient to never read music before. They play a tremendous group of instruments and sing, All of them learn something every week.

Beginning Piano
I thought this book was excellent for the beginning adult piano student. I thought the book could have been enhanced by adding the name the note played instead of just indicating what finger to be used. All-in-all, I am enjoying my lessons.

Basic piano guide
Got this for my brother because he was interested in learning how to play piano. Very basic stuff. But good, he was really invested in it until he got bored of the typical easy piano pieces and started using youtube videos to learn how to play songs he wanted to play.

Piano adventured seemed to have good reviews and as this book is level 1 I ...
I bought this as I recently came home with a piano not knowing I wanted one (drunk purchase).I have worked my way through the book and can play most of the nursery rhymes (which my friends find amusing as a single 27 year old male).Any way as ive finished tickling my way through this book I though it time to get a new book.Piano adventured seemed to have good reviews and as this book is level 1 I decided to go for level 2.Still a childs book however I don't under stand a majority of it. which goes to show how basic this book actually is.From what ive read online id go straight in for Piano adventures books.Happy fingering folks.

if you enjoy and are aching to learn music
If you want to learn the piano, there are several books out there to teach you how to so, but I won't speak about those, I will speak about this one right here, that you stumbled upon. First off, if you enjoy and are aching to learn music, you will inevitably love this book, because it allows you to start playing not long after the introduction. It gives very important advice at the beginning, which must be taken seriously - give this book at least 15 minutes a day, because this will eventually amount to a great performer with confidence, rather than straining yourself for an hour in unmeasured days and see barely any results, and end up giving up ultimately. It's important that you realize that the act of playing is above every technical aspect - this will build and develop your muscle memory - which allows you to play more deftly, if you work gradually, slowly and intently, thus helping you to become a master of tunes, or in proper terms, comfortable. You just have to be persistent.I had so much fun learning how to finally read and play and therefore, will purchase the intermediate book, if there is such a version. Also: it's important that you don't rely on the notes present on the sheet. Use them as guidelines to know what to play. After you memorize a sheet section, practice playing without looking at it. If you are looking to become a musician, this will help you hearing the patterns, and consequently, translating them into your own music. Thanks for reading

A great start to my learning!
The layout is good, helping you with the basic fingers on both hands. I have used it, as a complete novice, to practice reading and completing the exercises. My only gripe is that its quite a short book, and wold benefit from having more practice music. Therefore, it is a great buy if you ar looking for a book to help you start. I ahve had to search for other piano beginiers books with music to extend what i have learnt. I like using books as i can go at my own pace, and will supplement on line videos once i've mastered the basics.

Reminding me of earlier times
I really found this book useful. I haven’t touched a piano for years. I remembered the notes and could read them with the right handBut the left hand notes I had problems with... pleased to say that I am getting better with the left hand notes beginning to read them. Enjoyed the pieces of music that enabled me to play the keyboard lent to me by my Granddaughter.Wish the book was a bit longer.....
