I recently moved into my home in March, and this was my first time replacing the air filter. The Filtrete 20x25x4 MERV 11 filter fit perfectly. As a first-time homeowner, I wanted a quality filter that would help keep the air in my home clean without being overly expensive. Based on my experience so far, this filter seems like a great choice. I'll definitely continue purchasing these when it's time for the next replacement.

I needed it, and it was out of stock at the supermarket near my house; it works perfectly.

I've used filtrete filters for many years and they are the best filters going. However there is an issue with 4" filters you need to be aware of. FILTRETE 4" filters (like other brands) are NOT actually 4.00 inches thick. These 4" filters are actually (size = 19.88 x 24.63 x 4.31). This means that if your filter holder is exactly 4" thick (like my new HVAC is), then these filters won't fit! Filtrete (like other brands) makes a narrower 20x25x4" filter, but not in merv=11. Their exact dimensions are 19.5 x 24.5 x 3.75 filter which only comes in merv=13. However merv=13 reduces your air flow which refuces your cooling. That's the problem. Check with your HVAC folks. I'm using an alternate brand as a result, or I might have the HVAC folks come back out and put in a thicker opening (like 4.5") to use the Filtrete merv=11 filter. Bottom line, the product is fine, but be careful about the fit.

Was ordered as a good condition open box from Amazon Resale. Filters were new but slightly bent but no issue since the price was great!

I've used 1-inch filters forever but recently had a new furnace installed and the HVAC tech suggested using a thicker filter. I was a little concerned there'd be an increase in static pressure with more filter surface and a higher MERV rating but the static pressure actually dropped from 6.8 with the 1-inch pleats to 5.2 with the 4-inch pleats. Plus, since it won't have to be changed as often works about the same cost-wise. Win-win.

First my furnace perfectly. Good quality and trusted brand. Very good value, I usually change 6 month to a year with these wide filters. No need to change every 3 month like the thin ones. Would buy again once it’s done
