Works well for all boxes: dust collection, size, fit within the unit, sturdiness and thickness. I did not notice any issues with smell except for what it collects for the return air system when it needs to be changed. I change mine monthly which is a recommendation of our AC technician.

Fits correctly

When I bought my house over 25 years ago, my dad stressed the importance of changing the furnace filter. It's one of those thankless chores that, turns out, really makes a difference in the efficiency of the furnace. I noticed my furnace was suddenly very loud, duh, I hadn't changed the filter in over three months. I was able to order these, then came in 24-hours, I slipped on in the furnace and now all is silent. Easy, high quality, simple process.

I read some reviews about these filters not having enough pleats, not filtering well enough, being damaged in shipping and more. That may be so for some people, but they work great for me. So much so that I am ordering more today. I have three smaller dogs and a cat. My wife and I also have terrible allergies and asthma. We live in Northern Alabama where we see a lot of dust in the summer, mildew in the winter, and LOADS of pollen in the spring. These filters do an amazing job against all of the above. The other brand we had used for years just didn't seem to work. I am very pleased with these. The cost is comparable to other expensive brands. They fit in the HVAC perfect and are a great thickness. PLUS, these are made in the USA!

This filter works great in a home with a large cat and 3 Goldendoodles! It collects all the dust and any loose hair that flies around when ALL the animals get brushed. They are very easy to install and fit perfectly. My heat pump works much better with these.

Quality air filters at a reasonable price, and they are a perfect fit for our recently-replaced HVAC. They do a great job of controlling dust in our home (yes, even FL has dust), and especially the fur from our two cats. We highly recommend.
