ECOTEAS's mission is to support organic agriculture, fair trade, and sustainability all while minimizing packaging through cutting-edge compostable materials We proudly source our certified organic and fair trade tulsi from a network of small farms in southern India. Our tulsi tea is actually a blend of three varieties of tulsi, making it TRI-DOSHIC, meaning that it harmonizes the three traditional elements of the Ayurvedic (Indian) metabolism: Earth, Wind, and Fire. A member of the mint family native to southern Asia, tulsi , also known as holy basil, is a central component of the Ayurvedic medicinal system, revered for its soothing, adaptogenic qualities. How To Make Tulsi: Hot Many of its aromatic and healing compounds require a long, hot steep to be released. Enjoy it with a squeeze of orange, or try adding some fresh diced ginger to the bottom of your mug. Goes great with a bit of honey, and it is also delicious with a splash of cream or coconut milk. We recommend steeping 1 tea bag in 8 oz of 200F water for 10 minutes to extract the full flavor and benefits. Iced Brew hot tea at double strength, then add ice.
