Good section for any hermit crab owner. I've already has two crabs molt and "rehome" into two of these shells. Great deal for a great price. Some shells may be too small for some crabs to move into. But the total collection alone is worth it for the price for what you'd pay at the petstore. Hermit crabs like these kinds of shaped shells because they can bury themselves in their enclosures easier too; if you use sand and coconut dirt like you're supposed to. What's too small for your crabs could easily be used for a arts and crafts project. Or if you're feeling up to it- trying to breed hermit crabs (there's how-tos online) for baby hermit crabs.

We got small hermit crabs a few months ago. One of ours was looking crowded so we got these. Sizes very mixed as shown in photos, but plenty in the range we needed. We boiled the ones we put in, then rinsed in dechlorinated water. In the first 24 hours, one of our crabs has switched in and back out of one of the new shells four times! Not sure what that is about but it hilarious. First move-in was within 20 minutes or so of seeing the new shells. The littlest crab hasn't moved yet, but at least one of the shells fits the bill for one of our HCs.

I received these shells pretty quickly and all of them were in good condition. When getting shells at the pet store, you usually don't get many and they're way over priced. With these shells some were too big, and some were too small for my hermits: but overall for the price, quantity and quality, I was very satisfied with my order.

The shells came quickly but they are a bit smaller than I had hoped. I guess I'm not a great judge of size. I wouldn't recommend this bundle for hermit crabs. Only a handful will work for them and that's because I have one tiny crab and two medium sized crabs.

I got the package and opened it, an overwhelming fishy smell came out of it. I went to boil the shells to clean them and in one of the shells was a decaying hermit crab. I pulled it out and it was cover in maggots. I had to throw that shell away because of the smell of rottening fish. When I was boiling the shells almost 100 maggots floated to the top. I had to wash the shells out 3 times to get rid of all of them. However, the other shells are beautiful and my hermit crab just switched in to one. I'm just slightly disgusted and disappointed.

The shells are nice to look at, but not very functional. If you have very large hermits, then these may work for you. only a few of the smaller shells can be used. I bought a few hermits at Petco and the young lady gave me 5-6 empty shells at no charge. My hermits have actually used a few of the Petco shells, but none of the shells I purchased from Amazon.
