I received my lodge seasoned cast iron skillet with the hot handle glove. The glove is terrific. The pan does get hot and the glove makes lifting up the pan much easier.( cast iron has weight)The first day I made French toast, but it burned. This was because the cast iron conducts heat so well, much better than my previous pan. I adjusted for this and now turn the stove on to a LOWER heat setting to cook.I was used to using the hotest setting. This is great, I’m using less energy because of a superior pan.I have noticed there is room enough to fry lots of chicken without the pan being crowded.I cooked my grandson a large T Bone steak in only a few minutes getting a nice crispy outside and rare steak on the inside.Also, the steak cooks evenly, not from the outside in, but evenly throughout the piece of meat. There is also room for a few onions and potatoes along with the huge steak. Love having a roomy skillet.Nothing stuck to the pan, and I cleaned it easily with some kosher salt and a cloth.Although the company says water is fine, I don’t want ANY water going on my pan. I plan to pass this cast iron skillet on to my grandchild when he gets his own place to live. Hopefully, eventually he will pass it down to his children. Gotta mention the glove again because the skillet is 1000 times easier to use WITH it, plus it looks really cool. Food cooked in Cast Iron justs tastes better.If you purchase this skillet, you will LOVE it, and wonder how you ever cooked without having it.

This pan lives up to my expectations. It is well seasoned straight from the seller. Pancakes, grilled sandwiches, steaks, eggs all cook up beautifully in this pan. It does a great job of distributing the heat evenly and holding heat as we cook and add things to it. Very happy with this purchase

This is the second cast iron pan I purchased. This one that arrived yesterday came with the nice protective handle. The first one which came last week and was suppose to have a protective handle but did not. Any way I could get it? I have not used either one yet but I’m definitely impressed with the quality. Thank you

Doesn't quite heat evenly, but does cook well. After cooking a few pounds of bacon in it, I now have a non stick surface I can cook eggs on.

Lately I am using only this pan and a smaller size of the same Lodge pan. As long as you seal the pan after every use, nothing will stick to them , and , best of all, you get the iron you need for your health !

Decided to switch all my cooking pans to cast iron for safety reasons. Great brand and nice leather handles. These will last a lifetime

I can't believe I went this long without having a cast iron pan. It is the only way to cook certain foods, especially steak.

I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my husband and he uses it all the time! It is a great product!
