Korean Stone Bowl Set, Authentic Ttukbaegi Korean Earthenware Pot, Twice-Fired Natural Korean Clay Pot for Cooking, Microwave & Dishwasher-Safe

Arrived in perfect condition 13 hours after placing the order. I only have an induction cook-top so I heated the bowls in a 400 degree oven while I made some Korean jjigae in a saucepan. It is designed to be the right size for a substantial single-serving of a main course soup or rice dish so I ordered 2. The soup sizzled when I added it to the bowls and everything stayed hot enough to cook the raw egg added at the table. I haven't tried bibimbap yet to see if the rice will brown in the bowls heated in the oven, but I think it should. This little single-serving bowl should also work well as a small oven casserole. It's very heavy and sturdy, yet attractive enough for table service.

I love this pot. This review is for people who aren't familiar with dolsots, and a lot of the info isn't exactly great discoveries. I'm not Korean and I initially purchased this pot to cook bibimbap, but now I cook almost everything in it. I even tried to convince my husband to let me toss all of our other bowls and replace them with these pots. I'm a fanatic. My husband enjoys reallllllly spicy food, and I don't. Cooking for both of us means making mild food and then adding hot stuff for my husband afterward. If you like spicy food you know adding it at the end is not the same, or so I hear. This pot has resolved our gastronomical differences and allowed us to eat the same food with vastly differing Scoville levels. The pot is small enough to be considered "single" serving. I use two pots to cook the same meal but one with mild ingredients and one with what I can only describe as liquid-lava. I then use the same pots to serve the food, transferring it directly from the stove top or oven to the table via an included wood tray/trivet. Best part is the food stays to temperature as the stone retains heat. They're dishwasher safe and I've placed them in the dishwasher over 50 times each now and they look and function exactly the same. Only issue is if you're making bibimbap and let the rice get crispy at the bottom then you might need to do some scrubbing to remove the rice that may have burnt on. If you're on the fence about purchasing this, pull the trigger. Buy one, then realize it's the best and buy 9 more.

Great quality material. Used it several times already. Makes an amazing stews and other foods! Would recommend it.

….except there is a chip on the surface of the pot that I noticed when I unpacked. It was very well packed and bubble wrapped so I doubt it happened during shipping. Otherwise it’s awesome I love it, was a good price and it does what I need it to do.

I use it every single day. You can make soups, noodles, and bibimbap dishes super tasty and spicy by adding your favorite veggies, meat, or fish, and it's ready in just a few minutes. What I really like is that it keeps my food hot while I eat and it's safe to carry with the provided plate.

My eggs turned out perfectly, even on an electric stove top. Would definitely recommend.

I used these stone pots to make Korean Bibimbap. They worked wonderful. They are the perfect addition to my kitchen.
