I love this tool. I have gutter guards but my roof has multiple angles with valleys. At the bottom of each valley, there is a splash guard that prevents the water from shooting over the gutters. All of the trees, leaves, sticks and whatever else collect at bottom of the valleys and eventually form a dam that prevents the water from entering into the gutter through the guards. This was causing damage to the grounds beneath the gutters during big downpours. I was able to attach this tool on the end of an existing pole that I had for washing my 2nd story windows. Using this tool, I was able to remove all of the debris and clutter that had collected at the bottom of the valleys on my roof from the ground and without a ladder. In the past, I had to hire someone to do the work because I was afraid of falling. This tool is a great investment and I will save a ton of cash. Super easy to use and now I can clean the gutters on a regular basis instead of just 2 times a year. Thank you!

UPDATED FROM THREE STARS TO FOUR—Don’t even think about using this on wet leaves/gutters. IF it’s dry, and IF you’re just doing a quick “touch-up” cleaning, it works ok. At this price, it can’t be beat. Get one, and just keep it in your arsenal. It will come in handy and you will get your money’s worth.ORIGINAL REVIEW--I’m turning 60 next week. Anything that keeps me off of the ladder is getting a tryout. This didn’t make the cut. From the ground, when you’re trying to scoop stuff out of the gutters using that “flip” action, it just doesn’t work as well as it looks in the pictures and videos. I think it’s well designed, certainly sturdy enough, but the laws of physics (and those pesky gutter braces) just get in the way. After 30 aggravating minutes I got mad enough to get the extension ladder and gloves, carry it 150 feet from the back to the front of the house, climb it six times, and scoop the #@$% gutters out by hand—like I ALWAYS do. There IS A WAY to mount the scoop to the pole so that you can use it like a rake, or “draw” the stuff in the gutter toward you—but you have to be on a ladder to do that, which defeats the purpose of why I bought this thing. I don’t regret the price, I regret the effort I put into it. A blower extension or a hose-end sprayer on a pole is a better way to go. I’m giving this 3 stars because the price is right, it’s solidly built and well-conceived, but it’s impossible to accomplish what this thing is attempting to do.

Hooked this up to a 12 foot extension pole. This let me reach the gutters on my second story while standing on top of a short ladder. It's hard work just due to the torque of working so far away. But this tool let me scrape a ton of pine needles and debris off of my gutter guards, and now my gutters are working properly again... no more rain pouring over the side of my house during thunderstorms! This product is made of plastic, but the design is clever and adjustable, and it stayed on tight cleaning from right to left as instructed. It's worth it just for the value of saving me from either getting up on the roof myself (dangerous) or hiring somebody to clean my gutters (expensive).

I ordered this tool despite the amount of people questioning the thread and the tightness when screwed into a pole. I must say that I used a plastic painters tool to attach the gutter tool and it worked very well. It was strong, sturdy, and stayed tight on the pole. From a resting position, the black spatula part fits well inside the gutter. Unfortunately, it does not work well with gutters that have the silver holders inside because it is too difficult to scoop as the whole tool does not fit inside the gutter (only the black part fits.) But I can recommend this tool it if you have gutters without the holders inside.

On only my third use of this hunk o' junk to clean my gutters the material that screws onto the pole cracked. Once it cracked just a little bit i had to keep tightening it so then it wouldnt start spinning as i tried to scoop gutter crud out. Being too loose makes it useless. Retightened it about 5 times this session. Final time it completely cracked off a piece, as you can see from the photo. So i got 3 rounds of gutter cleaning for $20. I am NOT impressed with the math! 😤 Since it really seems like the only "decent" one on the market MAYYYBE i'll be it again but this time i'll attach a hose clamp around the fitting to keep it from unscrewing with use. I dunno.

Great idea, great video demo, but in reality leaves a lot to be desired. May would work ok on a first story gutter, but then I can get up on a ladder for 1 story. It's the 2nd story that's a challenge with this tool (and a ladder too, of course). It does "okay", but it's tiresome looking up for the amount of time needed to clear/clean. And it's tedious because there are a lot of gutter supports obstructing. Plus you can't see what you're doing up there. It's plastic and got scuffed a lot just on one use. I'll keep it, cause it could be a handy tool for the end of a long extension pole. I ended up getting my 28' ladder out to clean the gutter/downspout area by hand.

Good item will help if you do gutters every year
