We haven't had it long and have only used it a couple of times. I seems very well made and durable. It has been great for hiking. So far so good.UPDATE: I have lowered my rating from 5 to 2 stars due to durability. Not as well made as it seemed. After only a few months, all the bungees had broken. This was disappointing considering Meadow is a small dog (45 pounds) and not much of a puller. Also, after 6 months one of the clips broke, rendering the leash useless. Considering the price, I would have expected a longer lifespan. Hugely disappointed because I did really enjoy using it.ANOTHER UPDATE: I ended up contacting the company regarding the broken leash. I had a response from the founder within 2 hours and a replacement leash withing days. Hoping this one will have a longer lifespan. Meanwhile, it is great to know there are still companies that pride themselves on customer satisfaction.

The media could not be loaded.  I have been a dog owner for almost 7 years and I have tried many simpler leash options but they were nothing extraordinary. I stumbled upon this leash a couple weeks ago and I decided to try it out because it seemed it would fulfill my needs when walking my dobermann (Rocky). He had dislocated my shoulder once I wanted something that would be more shock and vibrations absorbing and would protect my hands. I purchased and started using this leash and I am more than satisfied with it. I like that it is adjustable and can keep Rocky closer to me especially when he is around other dogs because he is very impatient. I personally like to run a lot and I like to take Rocky with me and this leash makes my life sooo much easier because I tie it to my waist and I have a lot more control of him, so every run is more and more enjoyable. Now he has to get used to running more than 7km together with me. I have been approached by other dog owners about it also because it has a really cool design.Overall, a great product and very affordable at the same time. I will continue to recommend it.

I walk two huskies several times a day. It is a delight to have my hands free. I got a swivel hook to put both leashes on one hook so the dogs can trade places while walking. It is good to have to waist belts is you have two walkers of different sizes because it takes a bit of time to get the fit just right. The bungees on the leashes are good shock absorbers. I would love to see the belt have a wide cushion in the back to offer additional support when the dogs pull. I solved that issue for myself by cutting a bit of a swimming noodle in half and making a back cushion.

First, let me say this would not be a good choice for small or older dogs. There is some weight to the bands and parts even when not being stretched out. I have an adopted 75lb poodle. He walks great on a leash, until he doesn't; squirrel - game over, rabbit - good luck, food - never. Those 3 triggers send him in an all out frenzy, he can't hear my commands let alone remember I'm at the other end of his leash. What this leash system has done is give me back control even under the most egregious circumstances. Twice he stretched this sucker out to its full length but on the 3rd time, paused... yes, he paused and actually heard my commands. No more wondering why my lower back hurts on one side or another, no more wearing my arm out, no more filling all my pockets to the brim with training treats. Once again, even in front of a squirrel, I AM THE ALPHA!

There is a lot I love about this product.1. Price - I looked at a bunch of hands free leashes and this one was the most affordable but with the greatest reviewed durability.2. I run with this and wanted a leash that would give my pup and me space but not let him get too far ahead of me. The length is adjustable with several loops on the leash so I can make it longer/shorter.3. My dog KNOWS this is for running so when I grab is he runs in happy circles and is so excited. Which I know isn't super helpful for a product review but it makes me excited to use the product too.4. IT'S REFLECTIVE!! Which is perfect for me because we run around 5am and I feel safest knowing we can both be seen by cars.5. Handles are so nice if I need to get a quick handle on him.There's only one con... but half of it is a pro:My dog is about 50 lb and the first time we ran with it a bungee snapped. I contacted the company and they have been GREAT. I was immediately sent a new leash and they were very helpful when resolving that problem. I continued to use the snapped one while waiting for the new one and it really wasn't too bad, except some of the other bungees snapped too. I haven't had a chance to use the new leash but hopefully it works out a little better. If I have any trouble, I have no doubt that the customer service will continue to be great.Other notes: I haven't experienced any chafing or rubbing and my waist is about 26 inches. It doesn't get super snug on me but I think fits nicely. I like to run in a sports bra in the summer (I live in Alabama and it is hella hot) but the belt does bounce so I know I'll have to wear a tank under it. It isn't an annoying bounce but is actually nice because I can rotate it around if pup decides to switch sides.I've been able to clip a treat bag onto the belt with no issue.Overall this has totally changed the way I run with my dog. Hands free running is a huge preference for me and I think we both enjoy it so much more!

Love this so much I’ve just bought another. Though they are a bit expensive. I bought the single dog one but I walk 3 dogs so just ordered the two dog one. It’s a shame I couldn’t have just bought the double lead without the belt.

Only had it a week, so we will see how this review changes. I've owned other bungee leashes and my wannabe sled dog has stretched them beyond recognition within 2 weeks. This leash uses solid core rubber cords so really looking forward to seeing how it holds up.Dual padded handles and D Rings make this versatile. It can be converted and used with another leash to walk two dogs at one.

Let me put it straight, this is a positive review and the lease is the best one on Amazon. Highlights in product description are true.- Hands free provides great waling experience I really enjoy running with furry friend.- Bungee leash absorbs pulling shock- Very flexible to adjust the length (more on this topic later, as it leads to the room for improvement)- Both handles are padded with soft material, good for my hands when I need to take controlNow it comes to the Achilles' Heel that prevents it from being the perfect leash. Snap hooks!Both snap hooks are first class quality among dog leashes but this type of snap hook is actually not 100% safe for being used on dog leash. Unfortunately, almost every dog leashes are using it because of its relatively low cost and preferable convenience.The "gate" of the snap hook is the weakest part and can't bear shock from pulling. It won't be an issue as long as the shock doesn't hit the "gate". Since this leash provides great flexibility, I sometimes attach the "D" ring to the snap hook to reduce the total length and the chance that the pulling shock hitting the "gate" is much higher in this use case. I wasn't aware of this risk until I had the accident that the "D" ring hit the spring latch and pulled it out. Luckily, I stepped on the leash immediately and took back control.See my pictures for reference. After this accident happened, I don't trust the snap hook anymore. I bought two 3000 kg rock climbing karabiners and attached them to the ring of the broken snap hook and the other snap hook. Now when I need to shorten the lease, I put attach the "D" ring on leash and the "D" ring on the waist band to the rock climbing karabiner. Much safer, problem solved!So I hope the next version of this leash can choose a different type of snap hook, ideally high quality auto locking karabiner. May be there will never have such a product because the price will be so high that scare away customers. FYI, the dog leash is around $40 and I paid another $30 to have rock climbing karabiner. Lol.

I almost didn't get this one, because it was a mere $8 more then the cheapest one on amazon. After going back and forth on the reviews I'm glad I sprung for this one. It's very well made and all the d clips and buckles are metal!! Perfect for use while I'm pushing my stroller and forMy hubby while marathon training. Would buy again but I think this thing will never need to be replaced it's that high quality !

I got the short length and it’s the perfect length for running! I didn’t want my dog too far ahead, and I didn’t want her too close or I’d risk accidentally kicking her in the heels.The bungee i thought would be too firm when I tried stretching it with my own hands, but when we run with it it’s actually perfect for this Very strong and prey driven dog.My only complaint is that on the inside of the waist part there are some threads that they melted so it wouldn’t unravel but the have snagged and completely shredded a thin lightweight shirt that I have. Maybe other people don’t have this issue - but I wanted the leash specifically for running and the want to wear lightweight clothing when running.I would recommend to the company that they keep all rough edges on the outside of the waist part where it won’t rub on clothing.
