I ordered two packages of two pairs of these chopsticks and one set of the pairs were slightly thicker in diameter than the other set but both sets are beautiful and work just fine, well, they are hand crafted. These are a bit longer than ordinary sticks yet their extra length makes a luxurious difference, so go ahead and treat yourself to luxury and better control of lifting rice from its bowl. Enjoy! Edit: Longer chopsticks are available but they are intended more for cooking and kitchen use. Chopsticks of this length are intended more for individual use and are the sort used in better Chinese restaurants where the only utensils you would find on a table in front of you would be a pair of chopsticks and sometimes a spoon, with forks on request. Shorter chopsticks get the job done but these chopsticks simply work better.

Their texture is very rough which is great for gripping items but certain foods stick to them and they feel rough to the lips.

She has used these multiple times for stir frying and says they work well. The wood is a darker color which looks nice.

I am asian and use chopsticks every day. I bought these because they are pretty and thin, as I prefer. I used one pair yesterday and my husband noticed when putting them away after hand washing that there was a large sliver on one chopstick. As I enjoy the look and feel of these, I have owned many MANY pairs of chopsticks over decades and have never had this happen. It should NEVER happen. They are inexpensive and pretty, but slivers are completely unacceptable
