Worth it for peace of mind
Initially we used this sock to keep an eye on our baby's heart rate and oxygen levels which brought us a lot of peace of mind and eased our new parent nerves at bedtime. After several months and still using it, we tend to use the sock more to track sleep cycles than oxygen. I highly recommend this to new parents!!! Good reviews: long battery life in the sock and it recharges so fast! The picture quality on the camera is pretty good! The camera and the sock were easy to set up. There are multiple fabrics for the sock included, so when baby grows you don't have to buy a new sock! Bad reviews: the app is pretty lousy considering how much you have to pay for this monitoring system (the App itself is free though). 9 times out of 10 we have to open the app and close it and then open it again in order to refresh the data and get up to date information on our sleeping baby. Lots of glitches on the app but definitely still usable, you just need patience sometimes! Also, you have to clean the sock pretty frequently otherwise it will smell really bad like feet and give your baby's precious soft feet a stinky foot smell too.

Peace of Mind for Parents—Worth Every Penny!
As a busy parent juggling work and life, the Owlet Dream Duo has been an absolute game-changer for our household. From the moment we set it up, it provided the peace of mind we didn’t know we needed. What I Love: ✅ Crystal-Clear Monitoring – The camera quality is excellent, with a sharp night vision mode that lets us check in on our little one without disturbing them. The app is user-friendly and easy to navigate. ✅ Sleep Tracking & Insights – The sleep tracking feature is a huge bonus! It gives us detailed insights into our baby’s sleep patterns, helping us adjust bedtime routines accordingly. ✅ Reliable Sock Sensor – The Dream Sock is the highlight! It gently tracks our baby’s sleep trends, and while it doesn’t provide real-time oxygen or heart rate monitoring like the older versions, it still offers valuable data that helps us ensure restful nights. Plus, it’s soft and comfortable, and our baby barely notices it. ✅ Great App Integration – The Owlet app makes everything seamless. I love how I can monitor everything in real time from my phone, whether I'm in the next room or at work. Minor Considerations: 🔹 Pricey, but worth it – It’s definitely an investment, but the quality and peace of mind are priceless. 🔹 WiFi Dependence – Since it runs on WiFi, any internet hiccup can momentarily disrupt access. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. Final Verdict: If you're a parent looking for an extra set of eyes and reassurance, the Owlet Dream Duo is 100% worth it. It helps us rest easier at night knowing we have insights into our baby’s sleep, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything! Highly recommend for any new or expecting parents. Five stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Peace of Mind for Two Babies and Counting
This has been a fantastic purchase. We originally bought it for our first baby and are now using it again for our second, which speaks to its quality and reliability. It provides great peace of mind by alerting you when your baby may need to be checked on. In our experience, the heart rate and oxygen readings have been very accurate. The battery life is excellent, and connecting it to Wi-Fi was quick and easy. One of my favorite features is its portability—we can move our baby from room to room without having to relocate the base. Overall, this monitor has been incredibly convenient and dependable. I would recommend it in a heartbeat!

Let Me Save You Big Money - This is Trash
I'm all about the power of biometric data to create a better life. I've been using fitness trackers for nearly a decade. I check the health app on my phone daily. I make decisions based on the feedback they provide, and my overall health has improved greatly. So I saw this as a godsend. In truth? It's a waste of money. Let's start with the Camera - the framerate is worse than a 2005 webcam. I first encountered this problem during setup when I was trying to point the camera in the correct direction. I would move the camera, then have to wait several seconds to see the updated picture on the app. Now don't get me wrong - the resolution is great. This would make a fine still camera. But as a full motion camera, particularly one that is timely, it fails miserably. The motion alerts are practically useless. Way too many false alarms. There can be nothing in the room whatsoever, and it will trigger a motion alert. Trying to figure out what caused it? Good luck because the app does not store video at all. This is frankly the biggest failure of the camera part of this product is that you cannot review stored footage. I wound up installing an old Ring cam in the room for this purpose. I discovered that in part, one thing that will cause a false motion alarm is if outside sunlight changes, such as at sunrise, sunset, or if something outside casts a shadow. Also, those motion alerts - they can be several seconds or even a minute later than the thing that triggers it. As far as the physical camera goes, it appears to be well made with quality hardware. The application on the other hand basically cripples it, making it a very poor quality and low value items. Shame on Owlet. and their app developers for putting such a pathetic app into the market with a straight face. Everyone who needs a cam is far better off buying a cheap Ring cam. Now to the anklet monitor. Again, the monitor itself is great. Once you get it adjusted correctly, it is comfortable and stays in place without causing the baby any discomfort. The app on the other hand fails miserably. You cannot review real-time or even near-real-time data. You cannot review historical data. You cannot set your own alert levels based on heart rate and/or SPO2. Frankly, the app makes the actual monitor useless. Its only discernible use appears to be in providing false alerts. I'm going to say one thing about the anklet in Owlets favor - I'm aware that the application is somewhat neutered because the FDA in its infinite stupidity decided that a biomonitor for babies should be regulated as a medical device. Rest assured that wherever there is a private sector solution, the government will come. in and turn it into a problem. But having said that, Owlet should have not have caved, and should have fought the FDA on this one. There are other monitors on the market which circumvent whatever brain-dead shackles the FDA have dictated for it. I would strongly recommend you don't buy this. Instead, take the money put it into a college fund. Update 10/24/2023: As miserable a product as this is, I didn't expect to get just 6 months of use out of. The battery started to degrade significantly. It now does not even make it through a full nights sleep. In fact, the State of Charge reported by the app goes from a reported 16 hours to just 30 minutes of available charge, in an hour. This thing woke my kid up two nights in a row with it's obnoxiously loud musical alert from the base station, which cannot be disabled. The app on the other hand didn't even register an issue until I opened it. And how I'm having to deal with ridiculously long wait times and runarounds from their customer service while trying to get it RMAd. Oh, and the camera got worse. I have to kill the app and restart it to see what is actually going on at any given time. It takes forever for both the camera and the base station to connect or update over wifi despite being just 6 and 8 feet from the wifi hotspot respectively.

Piece of mind for anxious parents
Our baby is currently one month, so he is still in the bassinet. We haven't actually used the camera yet, since it's in his nursery, but from what I can tell, the feed and sound are clear. The owlet sock is amazing. I absolutely love the piece of mind it gives me every night. If I'm worried about noises or lack thereof, I just hop on the app and make sure it's all good. The only annoyance is with the alerts. When he is fussy and kicks around during diaper changes, the sock will alert to either a bad connection or sock placement issue. I think this is mainly due to the movement, since he kicks a lot. It's annoying because most of the time, it's either me or my husband up with him and the base is alerting the sleeping parent. Other than that, this is amazing!

Peace of mind!
So I wanted to state this first before anything, I did return it and purchased one from the Owlet website instead. I felt like the one I got off Amazon was kind of buggy? So what I am reviewing is the Owlet sock in general! I love it so much, it gives so much peace of mind. I can’t even express how well I sleep at night knowing that’s on my baby and if anything happened it would alert me! I will say this, and these are random little things I just thought would make it better, I think it would be sooo nice to have a feature where if the base station gets disconnected for any reason that you still get alerted on your phone. At least an alert of “hey, your base station is disconnected” so we can plug it back in and fix it. If the base station gets unplugged the sock simply doesn’t work and you don’t get alerts for it. That’s honestly my biggest gripe. Everything else is amazing, especially since it’s now FDA approved and will be updating in January of 2024. You would still get alerts if oxygen levels or heart rate dropped, but it was just a “check on baby” alert it didn’t really say why, that’s the only way they could have gotten around the FDA before it was approved. Which confused a lot of people into thinking you wouldn’t even get an alert if anything happened and you could only see oxygen and heart rate levels in the app, but that wasn’t completely the case. When you read online how it alerts you, you have to kind of read between the lines and really think about how they worded things to understand. But all of that is irrelevant now because the update makes it to where you know why you’re being alerted and not just “hey help the baby”. I started off using a hand me down Owlet sock from my cousin and decided to get my baby one of his own and keep the old one as a backup just incase! I also plan on getting the extension pack so that we can use the sock a bit longer as my baby grows. Overall I love the sock so much, this is my favorite baby item thus far. Sooo much peace of mind. If you’re thinking about it just get it, but I would strongly recommend getting it from their website! It is so worth the investment. (Ps you can use this more than just at night, you can use it while you shower, in the car, anywhere! Of course still keep an eye on your baby but it’s just nice to have this in more “stressful” situations. When I use it in the car I can’t see anything on the app cause you need wifi, but the base station will still work and alert you if something was wrong.) I don’t use the camera though so I can’t say anything about that. I personally am not a big fan of wifi cameras unless you use it while consistently watching the camera and not at night.

Life saver
I’m very happy with this purchase. The product arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and looked exactly as described. The quality exceeded my expectations, and it works perfectly. It was easy to use right out of the box, and you can tell it’s made with care.

Best for peace of mind
This is perfect to ease your mind and offer reassurance. As a first time mom I felt like I was paranoid of all the horrible things but the sleep sick out that to rest and I still use it to this day. I also love how it tracks sleep and offers sleep window times and an overview of the nights previous sleep. The camera is great to use on your phone or tablet and shows how loud sounds are, temperature, and humidity to show what the room is at to give quality sleep. The only downside is that you do not have a separate monitor for the camera and it has to be connected to wifi.

Peace of Mind
As a first time mom this product helped bring me major peace of mind with my baby. Camera quality is really good and all the vitals taken make me feel a lot better. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because when my baby was a newborn he had skinny feet and the sensor wouldn't fold enough to make good connection with his skin and was constantly going off. We did stop using it until he was 2.5 months old when his foot was wide enough for it.

DO NOT buy this! I usually do not give any kind of reviews - but the experience with this product is bad - really bad! Not only is the device that was sold to me inside the UAE AMAZON Store - now that i have installed the "Owlet app" from the appstore and configured the camera that was part of the bundle inside that app, now when i try to install the SOCK it said first of all - oh you need to choose a different region when setting up the account for this - i thought ok... not nice but be it. So i created another account. This time when i tried to setup the SOCK, pairing went fine, it connected the SOCK to wifi but now the APP said - instead of the Owlet care app - you need to have the Owlet Dream APP I am not sure what the developer has planned here or what kind of ignorant behaviour this is - besides the fact that i also realized they are using Firebase (Google Cloud) meaning all private data from my baby is now all over the internet in googles system :/ - but also in the end this means its just a pile of garbage i can literally throw away. This was supposed to give peace of mind to my wife - so i gifted it her for christmas - 3 months before the baby was due and by that time willing to pay extra for a "quality" vendor seemingly thats not the case. My user experience is a disaster, device not usable, 400 USD garbage. Cannot iterate more : DO NOT BUY THIS (at least in UAE i can tell for sure)

Not a lot of value for the price
I'm at home with NB now and used Owlet Dream Duo for 2 weeks, this is what I've found. TLDR: My only real issue with product is value. This item is "not a bad" product with a hefty price. If I could do it again I would either buy a similar item at a lower price point, or a better camera for the same or more money. -Picture quality is fairly ok, exception is that there is an odd flicker so you are unable to see breathing at night because of the interference. If the camera were placed within 30 inches of baby, the flickering may diminish to allow breathing to be visible? Mine is currently placed 48 inches away because I wanted no risk of accidentally knocking it off the wall. Unlikely as the Owlet cam's magnetic base is strong- but I'd have still preferred it be bolted/ screwed. -Moving the sock off of the charging station onto baby's foot inevitably sets off alarms, so we find ourselves turning the volume off on our phones, then unplugging the base, then donning the sock, then turning everything on again. This may be our lack of knowledge as we haven't had time to learn with NB now here. Hint- you don't get a lot of time to learn tech with a NB in the house! I give credit here too, our NB was quite small but we haven't had a single false alarm at night, big plus! -The only functions I have found good use for are that I can look at the app to see baby's heart is beating (alive yay!) and having the room's audio available anywhere, as the audio is very good. Background audio is a nice feature so you can hear without app open. Also NB's signs in video are visible night and day if she is hungry, or if has rolled over onto stomach. - I've not found that this product actually does anything else useful for me. Sleep quality readings are junk, it last night registered baby as sleeping peacefully during a feed and diaper change. - While I am not familiar with any alternatives you should ask yourself what you want this to do for you. If audio / video maybe coupled with a life sign indicator such as breathing/ heart monitor is all you need (that's all the Owlet seems to do anyway) and if $500 cad sounds like a lot of money to you, then I suggest researching other items at a lower price point, and hopefully save a few dollars for some other important things that you'll inevitably be needing. ( Ie large size bottle sterilizer dryer combo!)
