WH-1000XM4 Velour Earpads Replacement for WH1000XM4 WH-1000XM4 Headphones - Upgrade Soft Velour/Ear Cushion/Ear Cups by JESSVIT

Whenever I use leather(ette) pads on headphone my ears sweat an unfortunate amount. I really like the sound and noise cancelation of the 1000XM4's but I couldn't use them for any amount of time. Now they're great I can wear them for hours if I wanted. There is less noise cancelation because there's less of a seal, but its a fine tradeoff.

Currently in the process of swapping all my pleather earpads for suede/velour ones. So far these seem solid out the box. They seem to fit more snugly then the originals. I haven't worn them for long hours yet so perhaps I will update this review later.

so overall they are built well, but the material is really soft so the added thickness is made irrelevant as when you put it on it just compresses down to near factory thickness. i wanted to get it off my ears (because they stick out and cause pain long term) but they dont have any resistance to compacting. as far as audio quality, there is no noise suppression, the factory ones muffled well and then when you added the canceling it was near silent, but with these, it almost like not wearing a headset and just hovering the headset over your head, the pads are comfortable tho, just wish they blocked out noise better and were more firm so they didnt crush my ears.

Super soft, cushion is firmer and thicker but only downside is it hugs your ears rather than covering around out of the box. It will prob just take some breaking in. Quality is better than the orm for sure and my ears are super cool 🎧 🧊

Was worried that changing the material would impact the active noise cancelling that comes with the 1000XM4, but it seems to be holding up fine so far. It might leak a bit more sound compared to the stock earpads, but it is a must have upgrade for anyone as facial oil destroys the factory included earpads rather quickly compared to cloth based ones.

I bought these so that I could have a more comfortable and longer lasting pair of headphones. They were a little challenging to install only on Sony’s part but with a guide it was pretty easy to do. There thicker and more comfortable allowing for a better fit for my headphones. If your looking for a good replacement to your old earpads look no further
