It was good, and I liked the jar. Tasted like regular table salt. Expected a less salty taste.

Quality Salt in a Quality Container
The jar is a little difficult to open, but because of that, it also is very good at keeping moisture out. I only cook with Hawaiian sea salt because the complex hints it gives to foods. Good quality product.

Great for those who can't use iodized salt
Iodized salt and even some of the rock salts cause me water retention problems. I am delighted to have found this Hiwa Kai Black Lava Sea Salt because it tastes great as a condiment/flavoring and no water retention!

the grains are too big
because i could not find online a black salt grinder i chose this product as an alternative...i will never buy it again
