Quite simply, the pole extends, is sturdy when extended and will open and close your velux windows. I received a prompt reply from Kitti at Itzala blinds, asking me to send some pictures by email of both the packaging and the pole. Having done this, I received another prompt reply, apologising for the problem and confirming a second pole had been ordered and dispatched and would be with me within 10 days. Again, it arrived early and is being put to good use. Velux make quality products that work, that's why you bought your window(s) and are now looking to buy the pole to open it/them. You can buy with confidence from this seller, some people would have given a one star review but from time to time things go wrong in retailing. You have to take into account what and how the retailer puts it right.
