Great book to learn katakana. I loved it. The Hiragana book is great too. I've been studying japanese by myself just for a short time, but with these books it was very easy to learn these symbols.

I bought this when I was learning Katakana ( I has a harder time with Katakana) I found this book to be nothing short of AMAZING! True to YesJapan's previous workbooks, Katakana from Zero introduces new characters "slowly". You are not "slammed" with tons of Characters, like some workbooks do. In addition to learning new Characters, you get plenty of writing practice and learning how to write Katakana words. An truly AWESOME BOOK!

pretty simple to follow along

The "From Zero" series is one of the best for self learning because its not written in textbook language so its enjoyable to read and easier to retain in my head. This Katakana book had plenty of practice blocks and also used words to help you learn some vocabulary while using Katakana in practice.

Another excellent book offered by Amazon for those interested in learning the Japanese language. My son is teaching himself the language and has used about 5 Amazon-bought books so far. At first, I did not understand: why this book??? But, Amazon has the proper texts and offers them in an order for students to get optimal learning experiences. Thank you!

This is going to help me learn Japanese

Mastered Katakana in less than a month with this book. The interactivity of the workbook compined with cut-out flashcards in the back are great and it makss learning the kana fast.

The book was easy to follow and step by step guild helped me to learn the Katakana in a fun, innovative way. I highly recommend this book as I have other books which are not as good as this.
