Dante & Amara are everything
Considering how absolutely dark this book gets (it is a dark mafia romance after all), the love between Dante and Amara is so damn pure and beautiful, I can't.The Emperor spans several years, detailing the love story of our two mains from the very beginning, amidst their respective childhoods.Once again, I am in awe of how RuNyx manages to seed and nourish such a healthy, beautiful relationship between Dante and Amara amidst all of the darkness and evil that surrounds them. Is their relationship perfect? No. Do they both make mistakes? At times, yes. But that's what makes this relationship all the more exquisite - because it's believable. The devotion between those two, the way their hearts quite literally beat for each other... all the swooning from my end. I couldn't get enough of them. Their chemistry is off the charts (also, can I just say that we stan Dante MF-ing Maroni for being the literal king of 0r@1, because JFC, boy. IYKYK)The ongoing conflict/mystery surrounding the Syndicate - introduced in the first two books - continues into the third and the plot only thickens as more horrific truths are brought to light. I'm anxious to see where all of this leads in future installments. The introduction of Alessandro "Alpha" Villanova was excellent. I'm already intrigued by this man and eager for more of him. The unexpected connection between him and Dante was a twist I did not see coming, but considering their shared history, I love that these two have chosen to become allies. Very much looking forward to reading The Finisher, just to see where all of this goes.Once more, I also find myself impressed (and extremely grateful) for the way RuNyx writes/handles trauma, depression, and anxiety. I don't quite know how she manages it, but she ends up speaking a language I can understand viscerally every time in each one of her books and it leaves me feeling seen. But what I love even more is how she takes these characters that have these very real struggles, and she makes them so strong. And not in the usual way some well-intentioned authors do where strength ends up equating to kick-assery. No.RuNyx knows that strength comes in many different forms, and the versions of strength we get from Amara, Dante, Tristan, and Morana gives me life. If you know, you know. And if you can't see it for yourself when you read these books, then that is a great pity because you are seriously missing out. This book was absolutely beautiful. I loved it. It was the perfect balance of angst, yearning, passion, tension, anxiety, heartbreak, and a love so pure, it makes my chest hurt. So good. this book is so, so good.

Best dark/mafia romance ever
The Emperor is the first dark mafia romance that I read and it's the third book of The Dark Verse series.I wasn't sure of what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. It's interesting how the story is written because it's start when the characters are kids and we get to see them grew up into adults and see them through each steps of their relationship which I appreciated because it made me understand them better.Their love for each other is truly magical and Dante protectiveness and sweetness toward Amara, despite is mafia boss status is what I love the most in the book.Amara is the strongest women ever, I'm really impress with the way she overcome her extremely traumatic experience.Dante and Amara trust for each other is impressive and all the years they had to hide made them strongest together at the end.The writing is well balance between Amara and Dante's relationship and the investigation they are working on which is why I had to read the other books in the series.

Oh my God
It was such an intense read, but I really liked it! I canβt put it into words how strong and amazing Amara is my heart broke so much I cried. It has definitely many many trigger warnings so please read them before you read the book. It did trigger some things in me but I knew what I was getting myself into which tbh made the experience way better (better to know before than during!). Dante was a-freaking-mazing I love him so much, everything he did for Amara she is his world and he is hers and it was just perfection!

I am speechless!!
Can I just give an infinite amount of stars to this whole series so that we're clear how amazing it is? π€As always, I am speechless. Each story keeps getting better and better, despite going through it itself gets harder and harder.Same as Tristan and Morana, Dante and Amara have my whole heart. I love them so much it actually hurts. If you're looking for a fabulously done forbidden love which will wreck your whole being, look no further. This is it and more.Dante and Amara's story is one of a kind, powerful, painful and true in its most deepest and real meanings.Amara is an incredibly kind, sweet, and beautiful soul. She radiates a light in the midst of darkness, and she's someone you'd go to great lengths to protect, to keep safe, and to ensure that her beautiful smile never fades. As a friend, she's unparalleled in her loyalty. Her past is a story of pain that can deeply affect you, but it also imparts an indescribable strength and serves as a powerful role model to follow. I love her dearly."Youβre not going to walk through life, Amara, Youβll dance through it. And Iβll f#%*ing remove anyone who tries to break your rhythm. I promise you."Dante, my goodness. Dante is perfect. I knew he would be, and yet getting to know him was one of the best experiences. He's so sweet but at the same time he will burn the whole world down for you. He's a true romantic, but he's not afraid to venture into the realm of the most seductive and passionate words you can imagine. π€I absolutely adored getting to know the young and teenage versions of Amara, Dante, and Tristan. Even though their story caused a grand ache in my being, I truly loved every second of getting pieces of them which I will forever cherish in my heart.Everything about this book is extraordinary. Ever since I first picked up The Predator, I became addicted to RuNyx's books and her writing. There's no turning back for me nowβI'm hooked, and I couldn't be happier

A definition of true love.
I've been hearing about Dante and Amara long before I even started Dark Verse series. And they for sure didn't dissapoint! I was intrigued by their relationship just from the snippets in first 2 books and I knew it will be something special π€βπππ πππ π°, π¨ππππ, ππ ππππ πππππ ππ ππππππ ππππβπ.βDante and Amara are childhood friends (kind of) with the most beautiful and heartbreaking story π They are completly different from Tristan and Morana but equally addictive! I was so happy we could see their beginning because it made their "present story" very deep and real. There are some scenes similar to many books but the way Amara and Dante react to them is completly different. Resfreshing. They solve problems with communication! I can't believe I finally found that in a book π βπππβππ πππ ππππ ππ ππ πππππ, π¨ππππ.ββπ¨ππ πππβππ ππππ.βAmara is amazing heroine. She has broken side but also strong, resilient, sweet. She was a victim and became woman who can fight along Dante. I can't say how much I ADORE her. And Dante... I know why everyone loves him. He was caring and funny in book 1 and 2 and I liked him. But his book showed us who he really is. A mafia boss who sculpts on the morning while listening to audiobooks π Man who is faithful and understanding on his own level. The way he cared about Amara π And also... His di**y mouth OMG. I don't think I can get over him.Overall, the best series I've read this year! Many mysteries are still unresolved and I can't wait to go back to this world in The Finisher! π€
