Great flavours, easy to use
Excellent product, with good depth of flavours and texture. Not too hot; if you want hot throw in some red chilli's.

The most Delicious Curry Ever! My New Favourite.
The media could not be loaded. I've been using Spice Tailor curries for some time but have never come across this Southern Chettinad before. The kit comes with all the spices and sauce needed to make a fabulous, authentic flavoured curry in minutes. It actually takes longer to boil the rice. Of all those I've tried, I have to say, this is by far my favourite and that is saying something as I love all the others. It is simply scrumptious. The flavours are complex and amazing. It can be made into a veggie curry but I usually make it with Chicken and it is fab with Lamb too. Needless to say, the pack of five didn't last long in my kitchen. It works out at excellent value too and I can easily get four portions out of each one and it could stretch to six with extra meat and veg added, such is the incredible depth of flavour. It makes life so easy and there is no long cooking process with loads of different spices involved. I used to make curry from scratch but Spice Tailor have created a wonderful range that takes all the hard work out of producing a fabulous curry and I won't bother to go back to making it myself again. The sauces have no artificial colours, preservatives or flavourings, which is a bonus. We really love it in our house and I can highly recommend it.

Absolutely Delicious!
I’m no food critic, don’t wax lyrical with lots of meaningless and pretentious statements, but I do know what I like, and what I don’t like! I absolutely love this….Whilst not perhaps the most adventurous of culinaires, I do like to cook occasionally, and I particularly enjoy a nice curry. I do have to admit though to never making from scratch, but use a sauce as a base etc! With this kit, the (top quality) packaging very helpfully gives tips and variances of preparation to suit your want, including meat type or simply vegetable. I have to admit to slightly going ‘off-piste’ in that my preparation / cooking was as follows:In order to make a larger ‘batch’, I used 2 x kits. For the main ingredient I used 500g of diced beef (as opposed to 2 x 300g, as directions guide). To the meat, I added some chopped mushrooms and onions to bring up to the 600g. That’s it, everything, nothing else added! I simply added all (including the 2 x kits - I did chop the chillis into smaller pieces though) into our Ninja Foodi MAX (slow cook function) and let it do its thing!Once cooked, this was served with Wholegrain Rice (our preference). The results? Wow! With all of the sauces etc I’ve tried before, none have ever been anything like authentic, and especially with absolutely nothing else added – not even a grain of a spice! This is truly superb, and genuinely just like you would get in a South Indian Restaurant. The curry is (as product information says) a ‘medium’ hot curry. It does have a proper ‘kick’, but overwhelmingly so, and doesn’t detract from the flavour. All in all, exceptional quality and taste. Proper curry without the prep or hard work! Truly authentic taste. Serving guidance is spot on. Using 2 x kits, myself and my wife had a curry each (good sized portions), there being a good 2 – 3 portions left – yum! Great value when you consider that this is everything you need (apart from the meat and rice, of course), to provide a genuinely authentic curry. Very highly recommended. I am pretty confident that if you like curry, you’ll love this.I hope that you have found this helpful.

Love spice tailor but…
This is the worst of the spice tailor kits I’ve tried, nowhere near compares to the keralan or roasted mangalore. Sort of feel tastes like a cheap mass produced school dinner variation. That being said 100% try the other flavours as there is bound to be ones you’d like!

Mostly spice, not much flavour
With no major allergens, I had to try this. As I'm allergic to the majority of meat, I made a vegetable curry, hoping it would taste just as good. Before putting everything in the frying pan, I tried a tiny bit of the sauces. They both had layers of aroma, although I wasn't keen on the flavour of the big packet. That said, it wasn't the final product and I was just checking the heat of them. They did have a mild spiciness. I decided to add everything except the peppercorns and chilli, since I prefer it to be mild. I did take the cloves out before adding the sauce as they would have been harder to find afterwards. The packet didn't say how many vegetables to add so did 1.5 courgettes, 2 peppers and 1.5 onions. This made it hard to see when the base layer was boiling, but I gave it long enough to heat through as the little bits of sauce were already bubbling. As for how it tasted without the two spices, it's still just above a mild spice level. The taste is mainly spice and the occasional sweet secondary taste. Unfortunately, I didn't get much flavour through. Instead it was mostly from the vegetables I'd added. I did have to strongly resist adding mayo to make sure I got the flavour profile but I expect I'll add it next time to give it some body.
