EXCELLENT PERFORMING PRODUCT
This unit is great as it allows you to copy any VHS tape or DVD that is encoded with Macrovision. It does not transfer the encoding but rather eliminates it. What a blessing indeed. I have been using this unit since it first came on the market and was selling for $19.99 at Walmart. Both the CT2 and CT200 work on the latest DVD recorders, Toshiba and Sony are the brand of recorders I utilize. What good is renting films if you can`t retain a copy for future viewing. I couldn`t believe it when I saw Bestoverstocks selling this unit for such a cheap price in new condition. They obviously don`t realize what the unit is worth to some folks as I have seen these sell elsewhere for as much as $250. Thank you Bestoverstocks for such a good price on an item that is essential for videophiles such as myself.

not sure yet
I have been using another devise like the one addressed. I have used it three times according to instructions. And for some reason it is not functioning right. I will give it a shot a couple of times and see what happens. Hopefully there is a one year warranty on it if there is a major problem.I f there is no year warranty then I will have to not buy again from the resaler amazon and not buy from them or you again. Thank you

Can't live without it
I bought mine about a year ago, just in time. I have run into the lighting problems that some have run into, but not on all tapes. On VHS it seems to work about 50% of the time. I'll take it though. It's better than nothing. I haven't copied too many DVD's but have never had a problem with that. It's not perfect but I wouldn't sell mine for anything.
