It's to open the alarm case for battery change. You put it in between the front case and main unit to seperate.

How do you mount the alarm on ur bicycle?

I mounted mine on the handle bar riser using four cable zip ties (two around the riser and two around the handle bar).

Does the remote vibrate in your pocket if someone is trying to take your bike?

No, it does not vibrate, but if you are in a store and it goes off, most likely you will hear it. It's loud.
