No support at all
I bought two of these a little over a year ago, and they still work, meaning they respond to a ping. I shelved the project last year because I replaced these with something else. Now, with a new OS upgrade and an embedded project I am working on, I want to include these again. Problem is, I cannot find the disc that came with them so I cannot access them. Usually that is not a problem thanks to Google searches and online resources, but in this case it is. The wanscam website is down and has been for a while. I cannot find anything online about factory resetting and default username and password, or downloadable manuals or software. When I had these online they worked pretty well, especially when plugged into my wired network. It is the lack of online support that kills it, at least for me. I will have to resort to tearing it down, reverse engineering it, and either rewriting it's firmware or replacing almost everything with a beaglebone black or a raspberry pi. Honestly, I have much less trouble with a beaglebone connected to a logitech C920 webcam and a edimax wifi dongle, but it isn't weather (resistant) and collectively costs a bit more. I could actually reduce the project down to essential components and probably beat the price of this orphaned beast. Then I could use the awesome case, antenna, LED's, and other features.Anyway, lesson learned for $113... You get what you pay for, and support is more important than I thought. Also learned, do NOT assume the software will be available later!!! Copy or image the included software to a safe location and back it up, and name it something searchable. I may actually have this software, but if it is called something like WIPC487332A-beta then I will never find it.At least I have some expensive yet neat junk to take apart this morning. =/EDIT: Thank you Google Chrome Saved Passwords!! I got into one of the cameras and reset it. Defaults are username:admin with an empty (no) password. The camera is very unstable though. I changed the network settings and rebooted but I could not access it with the new IP. I factory reset it and it went back to DHCP, and responds to a ping, but the web interface does not work now. JUNK!

Poor connectivity to wireless network
The camera wouldn't stay connected to wireless network, and setup instructions poorly written. Not very a good at all !

Wanscam IP Camera
1st off.. due to Sandy the Storm, it took a little longer to get my product. With that said, setting up this cam was faster than light.. ok it wasn't that fast but with the included ( lacks paper manual) CD and PDF user/setup manual even you could set this up pretty damn fast.Once you get it hooked up thru your modem / router and follow the PDF, i was able to see my video on my computer... Then disconnected it from the router and the wireless took over and still was connected.I had even disconnect the power to install the camera on a pan & tilt device i had from x10 cameras and reconnected and it still was working wirelessly.Once you download the setup software, then the search tool on your computer, it easy found my cams / router info automatic. I'm using a Arris 3.0 modem with a Linksys E2500 router. You may not like the 36 leds for night vision. They are red and VERY NOTICEABLE to anyone at night. Good or Bad, depends on if you want people to know you're WATCHING.Unless you have a outlet for power within 3 ft where you will mount the cam, plan on buying either an POWER ADAPTER ( AMAZON - 2.1mm X 5.5mm DC Plug Extension Cable for Power Adapter, 25 Feet) for getting power or a POE ( power over ethernet - PoE Injector/Splitter with 3.5 mm x 1.35 mm DC Size Connector) kit and CAT CABLING.Purchase again. Does not work
I have tried for two days to set this up. I have had no problems with other models but this one does not work for me.

Junk!
The clarity at night is bad, you cannot make out a face due to it being washed out. The trigger system is not consistent. The reset to alarm again seems to take at least 60 seconds. have reviewed this product and tested operating capabilities.
