The cable frayed in less than a year and it is welded so you cant replace it.

Works great when I finally got the third one that wasn’t broken from shipping.

When this arrives, don't throw out your back trying to carry the box. If you're planning to transport this very far at all, be ready with a dolly. It comes well packaged and mine had no shipping damage at all. This is a heavy built unit. I pulled it out of the box and tested everything out. It seems to work beautifully. There is a fairly loud solenoid click when it starts but the motor runs quietly. I was impressed with the quality and design of this hoist. The back plate, which is really key to a solid hoist, is much heavier than I was anticipating. The design of the safety switch is great. I can hardly wait to start using this. Once it's mounted I'm sure I'll use it all the time. Mounting this unit will be a job. The hoist includes two brackets that can be used to mount it over steel square tubing measuring 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" or it could possible also be mounted over a pipe. These brackets bolt on to the back plate with four 1/2" bolts. There are nuts welded in behind the back plate. Holes are 10" apart long wise and 4 3/8 inches apart side to side. My plan is discard these brackets and mount mine on an I-beam with a trolley like this one. A lighter duty hoist would probably not be as physically heavy as this 2200 lbs capacity hoist and certainly easier to mount. The weight of the unit itself will likely require two people to lift it into place. Fortunately, after I strain my back getting this mounted I'll be able use the finished project to save my back long term.

Shipping was fast and was packaged really well. This is super heavy and is best to take two people to mount overhead. It works really well. The pendant even has an E-Stop. There is a safety bar that is connected to a limit switch. There is a rubber stop that is attached to the cable so that if you go to high it will shut down the winch before any damage has occurred. This can have a negative affect if pulling from the side. If your to far off to the side when using the winch then the cable hits the safety bar causing the hoist to shut down. It is best to use this while pulling straight up which I’m sure is common sense. This has a very strong motor and the cable has a high tensil strength. This is a great all around electric hoist that is great for any small shop or garage. I would definitely recommend.

Overall this seems to be a nice looking unit, although I'm not sure I'd trust the mounting for long term support of the fully rated load. However, the cable is likely to fail before the mounting, so it's probably fine. The important thing to realize is that this is a 1100 lb drum hoist with an option to use a pulley on the cable and anchor the other side so that you're splitting the load between the anchor side and the hoist. The hoist motor and reel then only has to lift 1100 lbs (at half the speed) when 2200 lbs is attached. However, the CABLE still has to hold 2200 lbs at the pulley since it's pulling 1100 one way and 1100 the other for a total of 2200 in the middle. The pulley also makes for a higher wear condition on the cable, so it's important to be aware of that.

Je l'utilise depuis 1 an et à tous les jours. Très bonne qualité. J'ai aussi acheté des produit que je pensais équivalent, mais moins chère. Exemple vevor et les autres treuils sont fabriqué avec des matériaux de bonne qualité. Je recommande ce treuil.

Only complaint so far is u have a hoist to lift things in air yet the remote to run it has a super short cord!! Disappointed in that factor! Will need to build an extension to use it from the floor, right now climbing a ladder to use the remote.

This product is powerfull , very well build , easy to install , i use it to mount ducting to factory joist ceiling , i bought 2 of these and where worth de money thanks to these i can work alone and install very large industrial ducting very smooth and quick
