Fantastic!
Ignore the negatives on this product. I was apprehensive due to the reviews, it looked fantastic. It was delivered next day (thanks Amazon). It’s a Pawhut product which I’ve used many of and never had any issues. This product comes with instructions, it’s very simple to put together. The colourful tubes take a bit of time as you have to line them up and then attach. Not difficult but time consuming. The cage itself is sturdy and perfect for a small animal alone. I have never built a cage so easily. There were a few small fiddly bits but I am wearing acrylic nails so definitely made it harder! The cage is now built and due to home a hamster soon. My one and only criticism which was mentioned before is about the shelf being flimsy. It is but with some out of the box thinking it can be stable. The cage comes with a small water bottle and attachment. A wheel and attachment, little plastic food bowl and a small plastic house, all optional to use but for the price and brand you can’t go wrong. I’m very impressed!

Not suitable for small rodents - avoid at all costs
Ordered this as a temporary measure, while we move house, but we can't use it even for 1 night, never mind the lifetime of a small pet.The assembly is tricky, as all the parts are very thin and flexible, and nothing is solid or sturdy once built. The shelves are very thin plastic, and after handling to fit them into the cage have bowed where we held them. The ladders are gloss plastic, and slippy, so our gerbil couldn't get up them, and kept falling off.The doors are not secure, and any small pet could easily push them open. The water bottle is cheap and nasty, and falls off the cage easily. The wheel is tiny and not suitable even for a dwarf hamster. The "house" is also tiny and is not suitable for your pet.Very disappointed that this is even being sold as a permanent pet home - do noy subject your fury friends to this torture.

Great product!
After reading the reviews, I made a very nervous purchase of this cage. It arrived quickly and well packaged. Is it a nightmare to put together? No, it's straightforward, just time consuming. Is fitting the tube tunnel together a horrific experience? Yes, yes it is. Again, not rocket science but definitely fiddly and if you trap your skin, painful! But overall, this is a brilliant cage. We used it as an extension for an existing cage and the gerbils just love running around the tubes and ladders. Defo get a glass of wine to make the construction easier but in total it took me an hour (would have been shorter but I was trying to stay very quiet to not alert my partner to my latest ridiculous expenditure, providing two gerbils with a 6 storey mansion). I really recommend!

Huge cage
Huge cage for the price easy to build and hamster loves it only downfall is the levels are quite flimsy could do with some extra strength on the underside mostly on the corners

Cheap but not great
An absolute pain to clean. Plus the shelves fall off if you have an active hamster like I do. Don’t buy if you have baby hamsters as they can squeeze out between the bars of which I found out one evening when the hamster appeared between my feet from under the sofa!

This is fantastic
Great qualityIgnore the bad reviews because either the issues have been fixed or there talking rubbishIt is a bit fiddly to out together but no problem and solid just take timeThe hamster wheel fair enough bit flimsy and the ladder isn't the bestBut other than those minor issues best value hamster cage I'm as excited as my boy about it nowLooks the nuts and big enough to add extras later like shelves, more tubes space for more toys ect

Dont buy this
I bought this cage for the arrival of a hamster for my daughter. Looks great, nice size, colourful, what I thought was a mansion for a tiny hamster. Well we went into pets at home to pick out the chosen one and they wouldn't sell us a hamster unless we picked an appropriate cage for it. They said it wasnt enough room for the enrichment of a hamster so we had to then pay for a second home for the hamster just so we could take her home with us and of course my daughter wouldve been devastated had we not got the hamster we promised her. It's not the fault of the seller. The product is listed well but the girl at pets at home said it's a legal requirement even though they had much smaller cages on display in the store. Oh and they dont recommend a cage with tires even though all their cages had tiers in them. So research before purchasing any cage or you'll end up with two cages and one of them is totally useless now.

Absolute nightmare.
Now I won't be totally critical of this item as the hamster has been in it 3 weeks and still in there so it does do its intended purpose. However if you have any respect for your sanity you will avoid purchasing it as the assembly is nothing short of torture. In total it took me 3 hours to put it all together and even then it still wasn't 100%. Non of the pieces really want to match up together and when they did getting them to stay where they needed to be was almost impossible. Some of the plastics used are the type that any force used on them will cause then to snap (and you will be forcing pieces together). This should really take 30 mins to assemble but do to the lack of any legible instructions and parts that are really poorly made and mismatched sizes left me wishing I had purchased something else. After 2 and half hours I had completed the cage build with only one remaining part to install, that being the roof of the cage. This last part just did not want to fit not even anywhere close without leaving huge gaps that the pet would easily escape so my solution was to use some zip ties along the top where the gaps were. In summary just don't buy it over priced and terrible quality.

Pretty nice cage
Let me start off by saying I spent hours searching for a hamster cage, and I came by this one that checked all of my boxes. It shipped the same day that I ordered and was delivered promptly. Assembly was pretty simple with me not even looking at the directions (I’ve assembled countless small animal cages being a pet store worker). The tubes were the hardest part but still doable in a timely manner. Once assembled, the cage is pretty durable. The pan size is nice and deep enough for bedding. I rearranged the tubes differently from the pictures because the wheel I use wouldn’t fit properly. The water bottle is fine, but I would highly recommend just tossing the wheel. It’s too tiny for any hamster and is loud and flimsy. My one and only complaint is that the bar spacing is advertised as being 1/4 inches, but when measured it’s actually 1/2 inch. That’s not an issue for me, but it definitely would be something mice and robo hamster owners need to take into consideration.I recommend this cage as a starter for hamsters; I plan on purchasing one or two different cages to attach to this one to give my hammy more room to explore. Sorry for the long review, but I thought I’d be thorough since there’s no other reviews currently for this product!

Doesn’t quite fit together
It’s ok. It keeps the hamster in. But the parts are cheaply made and nothing quite fits together. The platforms don’t stay attached, the door doesn’t open properly. It’s just all wonky. The directions were awful and I just had to keep trying things until it was functional.

Cage
Love it! My hamster loves it. Only problem is door does not stay closed very well. I bought a small lock for it.

Don’t recommend at all
So they say it is a quick assemble. It’s not. It took me an hour and definitely lots of adjustments on my own.First off the instructions they provide are not clear at all. They are a mix of pictures that make no sense but if you have some common sense on how to assemble a basic cage you’ll be fine. The tubing took me long because I was not sure which ones to use to make the cage connect properly. Instructions for that would be great.Second, not all parts came in the package. I’m missing corner pieces for the rails to come together. It’s ok because I used zip ties. I would hope when buying a product that needs assembly, the pieces are all there. Spending additional money to assemble a cage is a bit frustrating.Third the whole cage is flimsy, nothing lines up, one good tug from my 4 yr old son and the whole thing needs to be put back together. On the advertising video it shows how well put together it is, false advertisement.I do not recommend buying it. If you are going to spend $50.00, go to a local pet shop and purchase one there. At a pet shop you can actually see the quality of your purchase. For what it cost, I would hope for some sort of quality. I’m just hoping it will last at least for the life time of my gerbil.

Tubes are difficult to assemble
I love how big and roomie it is for my hampster. She loves to run around in it. The cage itself was easy to assemble. The tubing on the other hand is difficult to assemble at the cage holes. I ended up Jerry rigging it because the tubes and the connector pieces would not all fit in the hole.
