Charging via solar panel Install the unit faceing south and make sure the solar panel can get direct sunlight. Normally it can be fully charged in one day under bright sunlight. 3. Motion Sensor Select an appropriate mode: Mode 1: No light when no motion, bright light activate when detecting motion within 16ft, shut off 30 seconds later Mode 2: Dim light when no motion, bright light activate when detecting motion, returns to dim light 30 seconds later Mode 3: Steady On -Turn on automatically at night and stay at the stage of half bright light Mode 4: Switch off Caution: 1. This light is solar powered, it would be much better to install it in place with adequate sunlight. 2. Charging time and speed depend on the amount of direct sunlight. 3. If you plan to use the light in a shaded or indoor area, choose a battery powered motion sensor light. 4. Do not disassemble the unit. 5. For the first time use, charge the solar product by placing it under direct sunlight for more than 8 hours before using.

Failed After 4 Months. Replaced Free and Working Fine!
My main purpose in buying this product was to have the lights be on only when motion was detected, not be on all the time. They worked great for 4 months and then the motion detector stopped working in one of the lights, rendering it almost worthless for my needs. Had it not failed, my rating would have been 5 stars.Update 02/16/17:Within a day or two after posting the above review, I received an email from the seller apologizing for the product failure and offering to send me a free replacement unit since there is an 18 month warranty on this product. To me, the impressive part of this was that they contacted me and made the offer, I didn't initiate contact with them. I received the replacement unit within 2 days and so far, it has been working perfectly.The second unit of my original purchase of two units has now failed. I sent an email to the seller who contacted me earlier, and within one day I had a new replacement unit. The Customer Service rep. said they have received similar complaints about this product and have modified it to address the problems reported. The newer modified units are now being shipped.So, to recognize the 'outstanding' customer service I received, and a product which is now functioning as was advertised, I have changed my review rating from 2 Stars to 5 Stars. Hopefully the new replacement units will not fail.the newer units have been updated

Lit up!
Got these to light up dark spots along fence line in my back yard and they did the job. Very happy with them. When I contacted seller they responded promptly and I was happy with the response. I would recommend them.
