Easy and does what's intended
System worked as dscribed and cameras were picked up immediately with not needing to do anything. Installed a 1TB WD HD purple which was recommended and the system picked it up right away and prompted to format with no issues. Software was easy to understand with no need to install anything. Only downsides was that there is no documentation to this unit and there is no way to know how to do restarts of the system outside of just unplugging it and then letting it boot back up. The admin interface is simple to navigate and understand and the cameras give great video and the mobile app is also easy to understand and work with. Not much to it, but does what you need. Installation of the cameras was easy, only hick-up was one of the camera cables, during the feed through a wall, had the metal tip that connects to the camera came off. I emailed the seller and they immediately shipped a new cable so customer service is A+ and quick to respond. This is a simple system for basic home monitoring, just needs to have some documentation and a way to know how to do soft restarts. UPDATE: Had a small issue with one of the camera cables but upon emailing the seller I was quickly responded to and another cable was shipped out. I also emailed them letting them know that one of the cameras had gotten a pink tent to the picture during the day. And again I received a timely response asking me to cup my hands over the camera making it go to night vision and then take my hands away. If that did not fix it then to let them know and a new camera would be sent. No need for the new camera since the hand cup worked, but it is refreshing to know that some places still believe in great customer service. So I gave them that fifth star for thier service.

For the price and quality this deal is a no brainer
Package came on time. Profuct easy to set up. Cameras small (not a a bad thing) since cameras are connected via wired PoE switch, the connection goes smoothly. It has been 24 hrs since installation and so far it is great. For the price, it is a no brainer. I put a 1tb hard drive. Console recognized hd and prompt to format. No manual included but you can get it in their website. I am considering using a wifi bridge to connect to internet, since console is far way from router. If you have done it, let me know how that turned out. UPDATE APRIL 2018-- After 4 months of continued recording i can honestly say if you are on a budget and do not want to waste your money and or sacrifice your security this product is 100% reliable. I can access video via app or go to the console to review video. You will need to install a hard drive (easy) and the console software does the rest (configuration)

These are great cameras for the price and the NVR was super simple to setup. The wire length was plenty to wrap around my property and I installed a 1tb hard drive without any issues. The night vision and image quality on these work well, except occasionally when the light is going down the night vision flicks off and back on every 20 seconds until it gets dark enough. It should be noted that this unit does not include the hard drive, so you'll need to get one. The navigation of the NVR's GUI (on your monitor with the mouse) is a bit clunky and I'm not a fan of it. I have issues with the playback and using the integrated calendar, but it does "kind of work". Setting it up however was a breeze and leaving the monitor up and watching it seems fine. The application and motion alerts have serious potential but are annoyingly unreliable. The motion alerts for the first few days worked great, then they stopped working at all. Then they'd start working again. It turns out that the apps "servers go down" for extended periods of time and the alerts stop pushing to you mobile device. That said, when the alerts are working, the motion detection is great! I'll get a motion alert on my phone and when I tap the notification, it shows me a playback of whatever set it off. Also, even if you do not get an actual notification, you can check the "alerts log" and they still show up there, you just aren't notified of them. I wanted to rate these a 3 because of the annoying unreliability of the motion alerts and the clunky playback on the NVR, but I have to say these have become a part of my daily life and I enjoy having them. They give me peace of mind at a very decent price. I work graveyard shifts at work and my Girlfriend and 7 year old daughter are home alone during that time. I can see the front and backporch doors at all times from my phone and I get alerts if anyone is "creeping around". This gives me an advance on calling police or calling my girlfriend to wake her up.

I was in the market for a "budget" camera system, but didn't want a battery operated one due to reviews I've heard about them running down quick. I decided to go with a PoE style, as this seemed like it would be much easier than trying to get 120v to the cameras. I was right, the whole install (running the wire through my attic to my utility room, mounting the cameras, and setting up the system) took an afternoon/evening, thats it. Cameras are as decent. I would say the value to cost ratio here is great, this a great little system and suits our needs. So far the app has been working decent and was simple to setup. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an camera system on a budget.

I love this camera
I love this camera! Easy to setup. I have an old 250gb 3.5 inches and it works. Cheapest and the best i found. I would recomend this to my friends and family. I can playback from my iphone anytime and anywhere. Its been running since day one and have no issue. I have a peace in mind now. I can see live on my phone anytime and it ia cheap. Thank you funlux.

The install was easy. Remote viewing was also a breeze and the picture quality was great. The only issue i had was that one of the camera kept shorting and i had to purchase another IP to replace it. Other than that the system met all expectations.

NVR has lots of major issues
This is an interesting toy if you want a way to view what is currently happening in front of the four cameras that they include. However, if you want to use it as a security system it is somewhat useless. First the good points: the cameras work fine for 720p cameras. The NVR (Network Video Recorder) shows them on the screen fine, and if you configure the online service (which was a serious pain for me, later on the details) they can be seen from anywhere you can connect on the internet. Now to the bad points: There is no way to review old video other than by connecting the NVR to the funlux online service and using the app on a mobile device. In addition, this is somewhat difficult to do unless you have a simple network. There is no way to connect to the system to review video from a home computer (and of course no way to download the video to your home computer except through a mobile device). In addition to this basic functionality that is lacking, the NVR doesn't run a web server, so you can't connect to it from your computer and set it up (or review or download video). Reviewing video _has_ to be done through the funlux website, and through a mobile device. Which means for this to work in any way other than with a hardwired monitor you need an internet connection and send all video you might want to review to funlux over it. If you do want to configure the online service, the only way to do so is to download their app to a mobile device, and have it on a wifi connection on the same network as the NVR. Have more than one network? It won't work unless you hook up a wifi access point to the camera network (which I did). Other minor points: Other NVRs set up a private network for the cameras that are plugged in. This one, not so much; they are on the same network as everything else plugged into the NVR. Using the web interface was clunky, and quite often required a reload of the entire webpage to get out of a dead-end menu (using firefox, didn't test it with other web browsers). The app was the same way; I had to force quit it to get out of monitoring one camera. This hardware is inexpensive, but you should consider that you probably will have to buy a different NVR in order to make it at all useful. Finally the cameras are connected to the network wiring using a non-standard ethernet connector (it is a micro-sd connector). Kudos for making it possible to make the cable snake through a slightly smaller hole, but if you want to use standard ethernet cable you are stuck using their custom adapters, which are overpriced. If they are going to use nonstandard connectors they should provide the adapters, or make them cheap to purchase a set. The 4 camera kit came with 2x30foot and 2x100foot cables. If that isn't long enough plan on extending the cable or buying their adapters.

Night vision stopped workjng
Got these set up today and very happy with them. You can put them on any angle you need them, good quality, easy setup, and most important it has great night vision. ***Update*** 2 months after install one of the cameras night vision no longer works .. customer support through shipper is willing to replace camera but I must return faulty cam first. Then they will ship me the new one. Downfall here for me is I will be out one camera until they send me the new one.. would have gave 4 stars if it wasn't for the inconvenience of not having all cams until they receive mine .. ***UPDATE*** One of the cameras night vision stopped working AGAIN!!
