Yes,it could be charged while the light is on. but it only could be at the lowest light mode (300LM) when in charging.

Is this a good light for daytime road riding, bright enough for oncoming vehicles?

Yes, especially in flashing mode. I use mine as a daytime light often.

Yes,you can.Our remote controller can not only match multiple lights, but also control multiple lights at the same time.

Is the remote control also waterproof?

I'd say so. Mine has been on my bike in strong storms while driving at highway speeds and still works without issue.
