I DEW CARE Timeout Blemish Dark Spot - Hydrocolloid Acne Pimple Patch 32EA

I have tested numerous acne patches, probably an upwards of 60 brands and counting. I get little hormonal breakouts here and there and at the sight of a tiny red bump I'll put some on. These patches work well and I really like the size. At 16mm, these are bigger than your typical hydrocolloid dots. Skin breakouts come in all different sizes so it only makes sense for these acne patches to come in different shapes and sizes. These do a great job of sticking through the night and when I woke up all the patches were accounted for - none were lost or stuck on my hair. I usually put these on before bed so the hydrocolloid can work its magic when I'm sleeping. It works just as well during the day when you're up and about but it is more convenient during the night because you don't have to go anywhere or see anyone with these patches on your face. I'll sometimes use these during the day when I know I'll be home all day. I did wake up seeing a little bit of the gunk sucked out from my skin onto the patch. To be fair I am currently only experiencing little hormonal breakouts, so there really isn't much to suck out to begin with. I also can't comment on whether or not they'll diminish dark spots because I didn't have any on my skin to test on. Overall I would say the patches work but I did find this set to be a bit pricier than some of the other acne patches since you only get 32 pieces. However, they are larger in size, so it is still reasonable.

I am in my late 40's with dry, sensitive skin that breaks out just thinking about it, and four daughters in the tween and teen range. We get a lot of zits. Patches like these couldn't be easier to use. Simply put one on the offending spot, go to bed, and wake up in the morning with the liquid pulled out. Make sure skin is dry and doesn't have lotion on it for better sticking. Some people will wear them during the day but the patches turn white when the gunk is pulled out and I find that hard to ignore. These patches are packaged in an unsealed box but the sleeves inside are sealed. There in only one size but it is just large enough for my cystic acne and thicker than many other brands of dots. The plastic they are on is perforated so they are easy to remove from the plastic without rolling and wasting them. In general I do like treated patches, they seem to work better for me than the untreated ones. These stick nicely to my skin and don't hurt or leave a residue when I remove them. My skin can be fiesty and my mind can be fiestier, making it tough to avoid picking at blemishes. I love hydrocolloid patches for creating a barrier and for their oil absorption, but they can be difficult to apply smoothly. Most brands I've tried end up getting stuck to finger skin when removing from their backing, which creates raised edges and wastes material. The I Dew Care Dark Spot patches, however, have a great design to the backing the dots are on, making removal prior to applying far less frustrating! If you have tremors or finger mobility issues, the split on the liner makes it much more accessible to remove each dot. I'm still not too sure what the main difference between the dark spot and regular I Dew Care patches are, but I've had good results with these so far. They hold oil and sebum and stay on well overnight, even in a curved area like near the nostril. They're fairly invisible when on, save for the collection of moisture turning areas of the patch white. My latest application was one dot over a stubborn nose pimple that refuses to heal and one over part of a not super raised red spot on the side of my face. I was surprised that the latter location's dot pulled moisture, and it did seem to reduce the redness slightly. The more inflamed acne in my pore-riffic t zone also seems slightly reduced and released a good bit of oil. If you are looking for larger dots that are less frustrating to apply, these are worth a try! They adhere smoothly, didn't cause my sensitive MCAS skin any reactions, and absorb well. For the size, number of patches, ease of use, and effectiveness compared to other brands, there is decent value in these bad boys! As a bonus, the box's design is cute and aesthetically pleasing as well.

I really like acne pimple patches. It pulls up all the gunk in your blemishes. These work like all the other patches sold on the market but does have a unique feature. I'm used to smaller diameter circles, so when I opened these up they were much larger than I expected. They're 16mm diameter which is 0.63 inches or 5/8 inch. Personally this size is too big for me, and only on occasion do I need this size. Even with other patches that were a bit smaller I cut those in half because I didn't need such a large size. I will probably try out their other size which is I think 10 mm or 12 mm. What I really like about these compared to other patches is that it has a raised middle portion that is just shy of 1/2 inches diameter. This raised middle portion allows the gunk to have a place to go. With other patches that are flat when the gunk came up, it actually lifted the edges of the patch so it sometimes fell off or tended not to stick on well and I had to change to a new one. With these, I have no fear of it falling off in my sleep. This is the feature that caused me to rate this a 5 star product. However, with that said, since it has a raised middle portion, I don't think these are good for cutting in half. Since it might leave some parts with gaps.

I'm very pleased with these hydrocolloid patches. I've tried a variety of brands and have found there's not a lot of difference in performance from brand-to-brand. What is different is ease of use and size. These hit the mark on both of those criteria. The backing sheets have slits making it easier to remove the patch without folding over the edge. They release from the backing sheet without much fuss, but stay put on skin when they are used. I especially like that all of the patches are the same size (16mm). That's a nice, large size for max utility without being cumbersome. Other brands have a variety of sizes, but I usually find that some sizes (especially those under 12mm) are not all that useful, and require more effort to get them positioned properly. Having all the patches be 16mm means none will get wasted. The price is higher than other brands, but the better quality and consistent size make these a good value, in my opinion. Five stars.

These help keep my problem areas from getting inflamed, which makes my pimples heal much faster and reduce my acne scarring. I get really deep-seeded pimples along my cheek bones, and am an avid pimple popper. I’m constantly leaving dark spots and scarring along my cheeks. If I use these, it significantly helps the redness and darkness go away faster. These are easy to take off the backing and they stick well to the skin. They lay flat and blend nicely with my paler complexion. I could wear makeup over these easily, and often forget they are even on. From a distance you can’t tell they are there, even without makeup! Though I typically only wear these overnight. They have an expiration date of 2025, which is quite a long shelf-life. I do wish they came in a resealable package, as opposed to a box, however.

I like how sticky and transparent they are, they are hardly noticeable! They stick very well and stay on for up to 8 hours which is the recommended application time. They are 8 little circle patches on each of the 4 separate sheets that are individually sealed to keep active ingredients in tact. So far I like these, easy to use/apply/remove. I will give it a couple of weeks and update on results and how my dark spots will respond.
