I don't write Amazon reviews. I just don't. But I design things, occasionally professionally, and this thing is just beautifully done. We had a cat fountain for years (still do, it's retired now). Motor was cord-attached (DC, low voltage, wasn't going to kill anybody). But getting it apart and cleaning it was a royal bitch. Doable, but a PITA. And it would clog with cat fur periodically, and when it got low, it made that (Ross Perot, thank you) "giant suckin'-sound" that would make me insane. (Insaner.) Don't get me wrong - we loved it for years, but those were its shortcomings. Well, that, and our cat loved to stick his head under the "faucet" and redirect the water all over the floor. It was a thing. I put the waterer in a plastic shoebox. That helped a bit , but he still managed to do some good floor-watering work. Then I 3D-printed a PLA sheet, stuck it in hot water, molded it to fit on the side, taped it on, and that pretty much stopped the water malfeasance (SPOCK...). This unit, for those of you who don't fully get it, inductively drives the motor, so no wires connected to the motor. At all. The current is connected to the bottom section, and the entire top comes off (unscrews, lifts, off, etc.). The motor sits on the bottom and (as mentioned) operates inductively (think charging your iPhone wirelessly for the uninitiated). It's a thing of freaking beauty. I want to shake the hand (or hands) of the industrial design team that cooked this one up. I can't speak to longevity (I've been using it for like three weeks). The cat and the dog seem to like it just fine (not clear if Spock is annoyed that he can't water his head anymore, but those are the breaks, kid). It doesn't overflow. I'm not even sure what I would do to make it overflow, other than screwing up the reassembly (which would take some doing, but knowing humans somebody's figured out how). It's super-quiet. Looking at it in operation is rather Zen-like. Neither dog nor cat have filed any complaints. It has a filter, which, given the construction of the unit, would take some considerable abuse to seriously clog. And it looks cleanable. If there's a flaw, I haven't found it yet. Has a sight on the side to monitor water level. Given the modular design it's just wildly easy to clean. It wasn't especially expensive. WTF. Something that: is relatively cheap, just works (so far), has no (to me) visible flaws? On Amazon? Are you kidding me? If I read right, there's an app? Not even looked. Don't care. Unless, of course, the unit has broken into my home Internet, virused all of my systems, and compromised me forever. Not impossible. But not very likely. I'd say buy it, if you need a cat/dog waterer. Or a lovely fountain. Enjoy.

I can't recommend this fountain enough. Been using it for over 2y now with no issue. My cat drinks more water than he did from bowls or from 3 other fountains I've had. It's tall enough that he doesn't have to bend awkwardly to drink. He'll sit there for minutes lapping at the side of the bowl. I was skeptical about a Bluetooth fountain, but you don't have to use the app after setting it up, unless you want to pause it, change from constant flow to smart flow (3min on 3min off), or keep track of when you last changed the filter. I especially like that I don't have to unplug it and drag the cord with me to the sink to clean and refill it. It sits on the base which keeps it powered. Cleaning is more involved than other fountains - the product guide says to take a couple pieces off of the pump to clean a small wheel (which requires tweezers). But it's not difficult, and I'll be honest, I don't do that part every time I rinse and refill the fountain. It makes more noise when the water is low, or like, 12-24h after refilling it (not sure why), but the majority of the time it's the quietest fountain I've used.

This is the best Water Fountain ever: super silent, holds 2 liters of water, the pump auto-shutoff when water is low, and I know my cat has fresh and clean water every single day. And to top it all off: they have the best Customer Support! Very fast and super friendly! If you love your Pets you need to buy this Water Fountain for them! You’re going to love it! Original Review: I received my PetKit 2 but it didn’t include the 4 extras pieces of foam for the filter. Besides that it’s an excellent product. Update 1: They shipped the 4 extra missing pieces of foam. Excellent Customer Service, amazing product! Update 2: My PetKit simply stopped working. The lights still works but the fountain it’s not working anymore. My cat was without water for 2 days until we realized that the pump was not running. It worked for only 6 months. I really need help from the Customer Support right now. Changing my rating for 2 stars, again. Update 3: PetKit send me info on how to clean inside the pump, and although I clean (scrub) the fountain every month and change water filter and sponge of the pump when filter light turns on, I’ve never cleaned inside the pump. I didn’t see any pet hair inside, but after a throughout clean and flush of water the pump started working again. They also send me 5 filters for free to help with the maintenance of my filter. That’s an excellent customer service!

I bought this product a little over a year ago and although about a month ago I encountered some problems, it was fixed and continues to work well and I am very happy with this product. The issue I encountered is that the pump broke and was making a very loud noise. It wasn't a permanent loud noise, but would happen often enough to be annoying. I called and emailed PetKit and they responded promptly to help. After guiding me through some cleaning instructions through a YouTube video and as the noise persisted, they recommended I buy a new pump (warranty had since expired). I bought it through Amazon but it was also defective. I requested a replacement and it's been working for the past two weeks just fine. The water fountain continues to work well and in a quiet manner. It's a good device, quite, does the job, t's easy to assemble and clean, etc., and my cats like it. I also love that lights let you know when it's running out of water or filter needs to be changed. Also, while my cat does not like getting bathed, he has a thing for water and is very curious about it. He lifts the plates off this water fountain and plays with the tube that connects the pump to the plates so the water can come out. As you can imagine, this makes a little bit of a mess with the water all over the place and I've also had to dig up the tube from under sofas, etc., when he disassembles the whole thing and I don't catch him on time. So I've placed a rubber band around it and that seems to stop him from lifting the plates, but I realize this is a thing with my cat. The product generally is very good.

Edit: my original fountain died and I had to replace it. The new one is slightly different in looks. But in reliability and durability it failed. Big time. It's been a month and it's dead. Not impressed anymore. Looks like I'm finding a new fountain brand. Original fountain review: We love fountains in this house. But my girls are a tad picky. And I need easy to take care of. So, it's a challenge! I'm constantly buying new fountains. This one has been running about 10 minutes now, so I'll let you decide how much my review is worth. As I was putting the fountain down and plugging it in all three girls were making a line to check it out. They LOVE fresh water. It's like ambrosia. They wait around where the water bowl goes every time I pick it up to clean it. So, all 3 cats tried this one immediately. Looks like they give it the thumbs up! Pros: 1. It's at head height, so if your cat is fully grown it's perfect for drinking without bending. This would be a con if you have kittens. 2. The water in the center is about an inch deep and it's where the tube pumps the water up. The water on the edges is shallow, if you add more water the edge can be deeper. My one cat prefers being able to lick the bottom- like, she'd rather lick spilled water off the floor instead of from the bowl. So this is great for her. One of them likes the water deeper, so she licks closer to the middle. The other likes to lick the water off the edge, so she tilts her head sideways and licks the water up the side. Basically, perfect for everyone. 3. It is SUPER quiet. The last one was like a noise machine. I can barely even tell this one is on until I look at the water bubbling- it's a barely there hum. I included a video so you could hear it. 4. Easy to assemble and take apart. 5. Holds a lot of water so if I go away for a day or two they'll be okay. 6. Has double filter. One for the water and one for the pump. I'm tired of cleaning cat hair off the pump so that's appreciated. Cons: 1. Only comes with one filter. I'll have to order more. I don't know yet how long they last. 2. It has metal contacts that can't get wet. It's hard to wash it without getting them wet! It just means I can't reassemble it right away because I want to make sure they are dry before putting it back together. 3. It is neck height. So, for my cat who likes to lick up the sides, she can't lay down and stick her head over the edge like she could with other fountains. Of course, maybe she only did that to avoid bending her neck down. Who knows?🤷‍♀️ But that would also be a problem for small cats or kittens. 4. It is all plastic. Sometimes plastic doesn't do well, especially where there is hard water. I'll try to write an updated review in a few weeks or months, once I see what happens long term. For now, we're all loving this fountain. I hope it stays that way. I really don't want to buy another one!

Remarkably easy to clean, absolutely SILENT, and holds a ton of water. This model is light years better than the old "flower center fountain" that we used for several years before purchasing this. What I like: •So quiet! •Comes with two, high quality, special brushes for cleaning the tubes on the fountain. •The smooth plastic and well designed silicone parts are very easy to clean. Despite being plastic, I have not seen any scratching or wear on them (something that WAS a problem on my old cat fountain by a different brand) •When you lift up the water reservoir, the well designed base stays behind--no need to worry about getting electronics wet when cleaning! •App is well designed and reminds you when you need to clean or replace the filter. It also notifies you when the water is getting low (although you can also see that very easily on the window on the side of the reservoir. •Filter includes charcoal for purity and good tasting water for your pet. •No whisker fatigue. I have been using this for months now and have literally zero complaints or concerns. I only wish that I had bought this a long time ago. My elderly cat loves it.

Cats love it & most importantly I respect this company they actually care about their customers satisfaction just to update the product The company is very understanding and reached out and replaced my pump mailed it straight out to me had it within a couple days and everything is working perfectly!!!! To be honest I was very shocked that they reached out not used to most companies giving or caring about the customer these days but this company actually does like I said they replaced the pump I didn't have to buy a new one or a new fountain so I think that the outstanding customer service and the actual fact that this company cares about my happiness regarding their products is above five stars so this is an update 5/16/23 to the previous below review. Once again I want to thank the company for reaching out actually caring and replacing the pump so I will continue to use this company's product since they actually care about the consumer thank you again Happy cats happy life. Product worked well until the pump failed I've done everything correct with the cleaning and making sure the base was dry and the charging port was dry and now it is no longer working I don't know if I should purchase a new pump or just go to the different company not happy I've had it since October** update above this is the original review before the company reached out to me personally and replaced product.

I had the original model, where the power was transmitted to the pump by thick wire inside the bowl. I loved that for years, having no idea how much better it could have been. Then I discovered that both ends of the wire had broken through its thick plastic covering after years of being twisted around during cleaning, and I have no idea why my cats weren't electrocuted. Ordered this replacement model (same price as before), and I can't believe how much more wonderful this one is. From the cats' point of view, it's exactly the same. But the induction power - no more wire in the bowl - means everything about the design and materials is simplified. Cleaning this will no longer be a dreaded chore. The bowl part is just a lightweight (sturdy) piece of plastic, completely washable, no mildewy rubber seal needed to keep water out of the innards (because there are no innards), no caution needed to keep the conduction part of the bottom from getting wet. And especially nothing inside the bowl that's difficult to clean around, like the old wire and pump setup was. You simply set the pump aside and clean it separately from the bowl. And that pump, too, has been redesigned to be much easier to open and clean, with a special brush included, with tweezers built into its handle. They've thought of everything. The bowl even has a clear vertical window up the side so you can see the water level at a glance. As far as I can tell, there's absolutely no reason to install the App, so I haven't done that. Noise level? I can't hear it at all.

The seller is selling the Chinese version, and the product requires an app to operate. However when the app is installed and I tried to connect, it showed an error saying that the device is not designed for this region and it simply bricked the device. 2 stars because the product is actually good (as per my online research).

Very quiet and easy to clean

Really easy to use once I got it set up. It makes basically no noise, and my cats prefer drinking out of it now as well. I also only have to refill it once a week, which is a huge bonus to me. Only issue I had was that the instruction booklet they include really sucks. It's pretty big, but the only part you'll need is whatever three pages are in your language. And then it just sends you to an instructional video to view how to assemble the fountain anyway. So that was weirdly annoying. But again, that's just the setup. The real fountain works great! Highly recommended if you're looking for something simple to maintain and highly quiet.
