Reviews cite a range from 20-30 Amp breaker for the 12K/115V. Max fuse rating is 25. What's best outside (fusable quick disconnect) vs at breaker box?

I used a Eaton 60 amp, 2 pole non fusable , enclosed AC switch disconnect near the outside unit. I also used 6 ft outdoor "AC Whips" for the wiring outside made by Southwire. I ran indoor wire from the breaker to a junction box inside near the exit to the outside and joined the outdoor wire(AC whip) there as well. As using indoor wire outside is not up to code.
