Lovely little tome/coffee table book for plant lovers!

Very informative and creative book

Wow, what can I say...by far the best of the 4 Hilton Carter "Wild" series books. Not only is the photography fabulous but the context is so entertaining to read. His inspiring stories share how plants and greenery can enhance a space in a family home or business, and change the dynamics of the mood in that space. After reading this latest book, how could I not go out and treat myself to one of the plants he writes about in the book! Meet Claire, image attached ( I named her as he suggests in his book ). I started following Hilton on instagram a few years back when I only had 1 house plant, and now after learning so many pointers from his book series and social media tips, I now I have over 35 healthy plants! As a practicing interior designer I love sharing this information with clients, and bringing plants into their family homes, all while assuring them that with some TLC they too can have some "green" in their life. My favorite take away from the book is learning there are such a vast number of plants out there to choose from to suit needs the needs of a given space and owner. Highly recommend if you are interested in a gorgeous table top book that doubles with great info to read!

Hilton's new book is the best and most comprehensive of all four. Not that the other books aren't good. They definitely are, but as an artist myself what I love about Living Wild especially is the styling part, the creative process. The larger size of the book does noteworthy justice to the absolutely phenomenal photography.I have quite a few plants and feel that they are grouped in pleasing ways, but reading this book I went from reading to looking at a plant grouping, to putting the book aside and changing the configuration. Back to the book and ... yes you got it, restyled another signature.Next to the beautiful photography and Hilton's easy writing style, with which he captures the interest of the reader, I love the way he describes the process of styling. With beautiful images and words he takes the reader by the hand for the whole creative journey from the very beginning to the very end. There are always boundaries, hiccups, plant requirements, and much more. It's like the reader crawls into his head for the creation of a symbiotic relationship between the indoors and nature.Hilton Carter shows again his immense creativity, resourcefulness, knowledge, vision, passion, and kindness. I highly recommend this book for everyone to enjoy.

Opening this book is like stepping through a dusty wardrobe to another world. One where plants and humans are playful partners. We follow Hilton, our enchanting, ingenious tour guide through close-ups of living art. As he shifts our attention from the fishbone cactus over the local Mezcal bar to the mossy artwork and little glass jungles in his daughter’s nursery—we gather confidence. We can do this, too! Intimate tours of the homes he’s styled in Baltimore with exotic patterns and leafy charm edge out despairing stereotypes synonymous with the “Wire.” My favorite thing to do with this book is to leaf through it at our kitchen island with whomever is visiting. “Whoa….” they say. And, I proudly say back, “He’s our neighbor!”

I have loved spending time with this beautiful book. Hilton Carter's gorgeous pictures and plant styling insights are inspiring for this amateur plant owner. It was helpful to see how he plant-styled a variety of different spaces. The additional design insights spread through the book also add to its appeal. I appreciated the in-depth descriptions of and care instructions for a wide variety of plants, and especially appreciated the deep-dive into those appropriate for children's spaces. I am already plotting out my first real statement plants!

Hilton CARTER’S BOOK “Living Wild” is filled with luscious photos. Every page is well designed. The information is easy to read and loaded with all you need to know about the care of each plant. I love the story telling from the heart experiences of plant, styling to client. Easy instructions and thoughts about placing the plants in your home along with other tips to infuse living with plants fun and esthetic. This book covers all the bases and is one of the most beautiful on the market.
