I was quite impressed with the vista palette I recently purchased. I already have a much more extensive pallet from Zen Art Supplies, but was missing something a little smaller to take with me while I travel. I really appreciated the forethought of whoever put this pallet together. The choices are just perfect. It’s got everything you could want in a compact case for a landscape focus. As always, I love the cards that come with the pallet. It’s such a nice reference point for when I’m doing my initial color choice. I was especially impressed at how highly pigmented these colors are especially Phthalo Blue GS and Ultramarine Blue. I’m kind of obsessed. I feel like I need all four of the mini pallets now. I highly recommend these kits if you’re ready to move past the beginner phase. I feel like this pallet took me just the right amount out of my comfort zone and it helped me grow. I also feel like I mixed less because there were so many blue/green choices. These color focused pallets really help you to focus your skills and help you dial in your color choices.

The media could not be loaded. These are gorgeous watercolors! I really liked painting the landscape I did with them. They go on smooth and dry quickly, but allow enough time to blend with them. I liked how I was able to control whether it went on soft or with harder edges. They also layer super well. As you can see in the images I was able to add a lot of texture in the grass and stone. I was also able to create gradients by blending the colors together. I love the color selection, it's perfect for painting sky, earth, flowers, you name it! It's great for backgrounds. The colors are vibrant as well and the pans come individually wrapped which helps them stay fresh. The pans also can slide in the trays, which helps keep the colors separate while you're working on them. The metal carrying case is also very handy as well as lovely. A great product!

The paints are really nice. Rich colors and vibrant on paper. Easy and fun to use. Love the urban colors.

I love these water colors. I really wanted to get all four sets, but now it seems that the Modern set has disappeared from this listing and is also not available on their website.I have the other three though, Classico, Sorriso, and now Vista. The colors are vibrant and the tins seem to be well made My Sorriso set came with Powder Blue as a bonus and Vista came with Cool Gray. My Classico set did not have a bonus color.There are a few disappointments. There is overlap between Classico and Vista. Both have Phthalo Blue GS and Ultramarine Blue. And the pans aren't labeled in anyway after you take off the wrappers. I ended up writing on them with a fine permanent marker. And the metal brackets that hold the pans in place were bent in all the tins which meant the pans were falling out. I was able to gently bend them back, but that is clearly a quality control issue.I'm really looking forward to spring and being able to take these sets to the park or lake to paint. I hope the Moderno set becomes available again!

I thought I would try my hand at watercolors and came across Zen Art Supplies and am excited to get started learning how to paint. So far, I have only finished the hand swatch card that was included with the paints. I think that is a great way for me to get an idea of what the paint will look like on paper before I commit to it. I think this travel set will be in my backpack for a long time.

I really like these paints. My issue is that the kit came with 2 permanent light green and 2 jade green pans so that means I am missing Aqua Green and Aureolin Green. This was disappointing. I am not returning the kit. Due to medical issues it is to hard to go out to send it back. Lovely paints, I just wish they would have taken more care when assembling the kit.

I am very impressed with the quality of these watercolors. The only disappointment is there was no white in the set. They did send an extra grey pan, which compliments the set nicely. This particular set lends itself nicely to water and sky elements. I am looking forward to trying their other products, especially their miniature brushes.

The classic look of these watercolors blew me away. The pigmentation of the colors were top notch and spread like butter. I typically don't use watercolor paints because I prefer more opaque tones but I truly had fun with this set I really look forward to getting the other pallets that they have available. The packaging was perfectly pocket sized I've honestly been taking it with me everywhere.
