Update
My initial review was as follows:Died after 2 weeks. No light, no mist. Checked power sources and tried on different outlets but unit just stopped working. But wait.... Please read my update:UPDATESHORTLY after my initial review I received an email from the company totally unsolicited by me. They apologized for the failure of their product and offered to replace it at no cost! I was dumbfounded as I really never expected this. I selected another unit which was delivered within 1 week. It has been 3 weeks and It is working fine without any issues. I have the unit on for probably 22 out of 24 hours per day.Their customer service was terrific. This has never happened to me before and I am impressed. I have a smaller unit by the same company which still works and I’ve had it over a year. I believe that the first 500 ml unit I just purchased was the exception not the rule as far as quality is concerned. The replacement is working fine.I definitely recommend this product especially knowing the company stands behind it.

Helps Me Breathe
Unlike many folks, I didn’t buy this to use as a diffuser. Chronic sinusitis is the bane of my existence. In our master bedroom I have a large humidifier that I run on especially bad nights. It’s enormously helpful but impractical for everyday use because it makes our bedroom too hot for my husband. He was happy to tolerate it for my well being, but I wanted to find a solution/compromise that would allow both of us to sleep comfortably. I thought that if I could just direct a small stream of vapor directly onto my face, that would do the trick and wouldn’t overheat the room. So I looked on Amazon and discovered the InnoGear, which seemed ideal because its small yet powerful spout produces the right amount of mist, AND the mist is cool. So I ordered it and set it up on my nightstand the day it arrived. No BS, they thought of everything that someone like me would want.1. The colored light selection is broad, bright and lovely. Once it’s time to sleep I turn off the light and just run the misting function.2. The lid on the InnoGear can be easily turned to aim the little fountain of mist directly onto my mouth and nose as I sleep (I sleep on my back all night and don’t move a lot, so this works well for me).3. Remarkably, by filling this small unit 75% full with water and setting it (using the timer control) to run without stopping, the mist lasts all night!4. I can add just three drops of lavender oil to the water and inhale the subtle, healing scent for a couple of hours without endangering our two dogs. (Please be careful using essential oils around your pets! They must be able to leave the room in case the oil you’re diffusing is a serious irritant, like eucalyptus is to dogs. Best option: look up which oils are dangerous to your pets’ health and don’t use them at all.)5. The mist really is cool. Not just room temperature, but crisp and refreshing.6. A handful of people report leakage issues but I’ve never had that problem. Maybe it’s user error? Maybe it’s normal for a fraction of any manufactured product to leave the factory with a flaw? I don’t know. But I’m very careful to position my unit atop a protective surface and examine it daily for worrisome water accumulation. I’ve seen no leaking whatsoever.7. While it runs, the unit emits a gentle sound that we find very soothing and sleep-enhancing. Not bothersome or clunky like other humidifiers I’ve used.I know this product isn’t intended for medical purposes like relieving sinus pain and dryness, but it works wonders for me. When I wake up after using it I don’t have raw nasal passages or a sinus headache. After years of suffering, that is EVERYTHING to me. It helps that my husband loves it too.

Fantastic Diffuser
Love this thing. Easy to use, easy to clean, and works great.Unfortunately, the one I bought in November of last year (~6 mo's. at the time of writing) stopped working. Looks and sounds as if still on, but it isn't misting. That said, for the price, and for how much I love it, I'm ordering a new one right away! Couldn't be happier with this product.

Has the two features I needed the most (see below). Recommended
I'm not a diffuser expert, but I have bought a number of them. They all seem to work about the same, in that they produce vapor the same way, have some type of RGB light setup, and have on/off/timer modes. So, for me it comes down to the differentiating features. The ones that I care about are capacity and a shut off when the thing runs dry.The InnoGear Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser has a (relatively) huge 500mL capacity. Many diffusers of this type have 200-400mL capacity. I appreciate the extra capacity for fewer fillups and for longer runtimes. Most of the ultrasonic diffusers warn that the device can be damaged if it's allowed to run dry. Despite this, most diffusers do not shut off automatically when the water supply runs dry. The InnoGear, on the other hand, does shut off. Fantastic! The aesthetics of the device are a little below average. The faux wood print is not convincing or attractive, but it's such a thin strip that it really doesn't matter. That means that it basically just a large, translucent plastic cap. Meh. Some other diffusers are more attractive shapes or finishes. The plastic does maximize the LED color effect, though. It's worth mentioning that I did notice one other thing with this diffuser. You see, refilling the thing does require taking off the top. Considering that the top of the diffuser is meant to vent vapor into the air, it's not uncommon for condensation to build up inside of the cap. With some diffusers, just taking off the cap can cause condensate runoff to spill onto you, the floor, or whatever surface you set the cap on. With the InnoGear, you can just tilt the cap a little and dump the runoff into the reservoir. Great! If you want a good, high capacity diffuser, and are ok with the aesthetics, this is a good choice. Recommended.

Still going 3 years later
This diffuser has worked great for the last 3 years. I tend to add more essential oils than is recommended. When filled to the top line I add 30 drops total of 3 different essential oils because I like the scent strong and killing germs in the air. With that said, the diffuser is starting to lose its power now. It still works but not as much vapor is coming out. I do clean it and get the gunk out (that builds up with all the oil I use) so I just ordered my 5th identical diffuser. Because I love them so much! Def worth the buy!
