Bought this bag for my son to replace a pvc backpack. This bag is not as spacious as I had expected but it is still a lovely backpack and it seems very strong. I especially like the safety feature (reflector strips) because the mornings are still dark when he has to get on the school bus. I like how it looks on his back, it is very close fitting and has a wide shoulder base, I think these features will reduce the strain on his back with the weight of the books. I would definitely recommend this bag, the orange color is especially nice and bright.

Superb bag for my 1st grader
I purchased this backpack in orange for my 6 year old son for 1st grade. It fits him well, not too loose (he is approximately 48" tall with a slender build), and plenty of room to grow. We currently have the straps pulled as tight as they can go (to make the straps shorter). Arrived on-time, was packaged very well within a cloth-like boutique bag, appeared as expected, and has lived up to our expectations! The large zipper area opens with two (2) zippers, and contains another little zippered pocket near the top...perfect for small miscellaneous items, IDs, change, etc. The smaller exterior pocket only has one (1) zipper, and contains enough space for my son's water bottle, tissues, and a snack. The mesh is a great vibrant orange, we love the decal on the front, and the shoulder straps provide more support than any other mesh bags we came across at local stores. We are hoping this will live on into 2nd grade...or longer!

Beware of Size!
These backpacks are wayyy too small to use for school. I ordered them with that intention because they looked nice, but they're kindergarten size!

Love the bright orange and relective strips throught the pack
Love it! Solid netting and good size. Not too big or too small. Wish it had one more zip pocket for handy access to my bus pass/coin purse and a side pocket to hold tissue, hand sanitizer but still worth 5 stars!April 15 update: love it so much that I'm ordering another!

Great deal on a great back pack.
Excellent back pack. The straps are very flexible. The mesh is quite sturdy. It easily handles my sons books and school supplies. The quality is just as good as backpacks that are three times the money! This is a GREAT bag.
