Works great and super fast
Bought this to upgrade the SSD storage on my MSI laptop. This was easy to install, works great and is super fast.

Not compatible with Precision 3571 Workstation
This ram came in a box that said 16 gigabyte of ram was in fact it was 32 gigabyte, 2 16-gig sticks. The box was mislabeled. Tried to get it work on my Dell Precision 3571 workstation laptop, would not boot, not matter what I did. Spoke to Corsair, they told me to contact Dell and get a QVL (Qualified Vendors List) from Dell to see if the motherboard would work with there system. Dell had no idea what I was talking about. Posted this question on a Dell forum and the reply back was :"Looks like Dell closed the possibility to use 3rd party equipment in their laptops, but keep it secret." Be careful when buying this brand.

pay attention to the variant chosen. it may say 32gb but its really 16 if under $100.

Great pricing, bad compatibility. Possibly better for more generic consumer hardware?
This looked like a good product for upgrading single module laptops to a dual channel setup. Unfortunately it was incompatible on a Dell Precision 3571 laptop (with fully updated firmware). I see other users ran into compatibility problems on an XPS as well, so this looks to be a consistent issue with this product. The modules would not work in tandem with the Dell's stock Hynix DDR5-4800 RAM, either module on their own, or in a matched combo of the 2x8GB kit. I ordered a (more expensive) single Timetec 8GB DDR5-4800 module after this compatibility failure, which worked perfectly and its RAM identifies as Micron via SPD info using CPU-Z. Micron RAM was back ordered at the time, so this is a very positive showing for Timetec (which I rarely use). I won't likely order this product again, unless I have no other options. It's especially disappointing considering Corsair's rather conspicuous claims about how universally compatible their product is in the item name (!).
