Alessi Savoiardi, Lady Fingers, 7 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Like many others, I bought these because my local store doesn't carry hard lady fingers and because they're a good value compared to some others offered here. These cookies have a light, pleasant taste and texture on their own, and they hold up well to the flavors used in tiramisu. And again, these are the hard kind, which are the ones you need for a good tiramisu, unless you prefer your tiramisu mushy.

It was perfect for my tiramisu cake. If that's what you're using it for, make sure you make the cake at least 2-3 days ahead of time because the flavor is so much better after the cake sits for a while.

There's one local grocery store where I get these lady finger cookies for tiramisu, but they are often out of stock. One day, I was tired of waiting and thought of ordering online. Here it is with a whole bunch at a great price! The box came protected, and nothing got broken on the way. I am already 1/4 of the way to finishing the box. I will order again when I run out of these.

Alessi is THE very best for making authentic Italian Tiramisu! Highly recommend this to anyone. I keep mine stored in a drawer of my 2nd fridge and that works great. Mariette's Back to Basics

I ordered these once before excellent. This order awful they are stale hard as a rock . Very disappointed!

I bought a case of these to make some desserts. I had no idea I would get so many in each 7 oz. package, or that they would be so big, or that they would be so crunchy. Taste is fine. Just know that if you're making a dessert and you expect the ladyfingers to suck up the sauce or sherry or liqueur, buy more sauce/sherry/liqueur than you planned!

Today in the middle of making TiraMiSu, I have stumbled on a package with almost all of the lady fingers having dark green mold spots. So far, it is the first bad 7-ounce package (Exp. date 04/15/14). I took a picture! I keep unopened packages in a cool and dry place. P.S It took me twice as long to make the TiraMiSu -- I had to double check every single "finger" from the other three packages.

I used to buy this one Italian brand at my local store, but they stopped selling those so based on Amazon reviews i bought box of these. They are not bad at all, just remember - dip them into rum/coffee mixture and remove immediately. otherwise they get a funky texture.
