Spode is such a quality product and this platter is such a nice size.. This is the perfect platter for the Thanksgiving holiday turkey.

Rating is based on the size. Platter itself (color and decoration, packing) was fine, but the size was "standard" not "large" which was what I was aiming for. I'm keeping it but bought a matching platter that is really big. This big one has a deeper edge to hold meat juices in place and hold the 25 lb+ turkey. The slices will go to the smaller platter.

Review from UK site purchase - have to say the colours on this ''Made in China'' plate are darker in tone than on the other plates I have of Woodland which all have ''Made in England'' on them. So the background on this serving plate is mostly a not very attractive shade of yellow ochre - darker and also larger in area than on the dinner plates. However, still a good plate.
