I really love this product. This is a very great nontoxic swap for anyone who is looking to do that. All clean material that this toothbrush is made with. And no, the bristles do not hurt my mouth nor gums at all. The bristles are durable just as the handle as well. This is worth the money as it is actually made with no plastic, not even the actual container it comes in. Its appearance is pretty average, it’s just a bamboo handle that is straight with no grooves and a logo at the bottom engraved. Id say it’s slightly heavier than that of an average plastic toothbrush, but is the same size and that doesn’t effect its use negatively. Only thing I can say that may be negative is a few of the bristles do shed in the beginning of use, but nothing dramatic or significant. Overall, I recommend this product to everyone and think that it is a good swap for the typical plastic made toothbrushes.

June 2020: Pro: The handle is very comfortable The bristles are not soft, more hard/medium. Bristles get softer with time. Teeth feel well brushed. Con: The bristles shed and spread out early. It seems that the bristles won't last long. This is my first time using a Boar Bristles, so I'm not sure if this is normal. April: 2021: I have used all of the brushes. The pack lasted me 10 months. I changed the brush about every 2 months, instead of the plastic 3 month because the bristles do wear down more than the plastic alternative. This should be expected: it is made of hair, not plastic. Each new brush does shed during the first use, but considering that the product is biodegradable and prevents yet another plastic brush entering the landfill, it's worth a couple hairs in my mouth. Honestly, some brushes shed one hair and others shed four. It's a minor nuisance. I purchased another pack and plan to use them moving forward because they are good quality. As far as I know, this is the only toothbrush that is completely compostable. Note: I went to the dentist last month and was praised for my oral health. Prior to the boar brushed, I used a cheap electric toothbrush. I've always taken care of my teeth, but this was one of the few times I was complemented by a dental professional. These brushes paired with eco friendly floss have helped me maintain my oral health just as well (if not better) than plastic products.

I gave it 5 stars for the fact its exactly as described and what I essentially was shopping for. Which many should take in account if they decide to purchase as well. Its a whole different ballgame when brushing with these as compared to traditional brushes . My first go round I was fortunate enough to not have loose bristles in the mouth. Bristles are hard at first sensitivity in this area be mindful. Cause at first i could describe it as a pushbroom. Which i didnt mind. When you have paste on in your mouth the brush glides after you discharge and go in for a second brush after rinse you'll notice the bamboo handle which design wise I like has some friction on the inside of mouth. For those who aren't accustomed to that it will take getting used too. After all is said and done my mouth and teeth do feel super clean. And I feel like I now need to live in the woods and become a Forrest dweller. The packaging is nice tube could be used again for storage of many similar shaped objects i for one could use it for travel putting pens or pencils for art in it. Sustainable. Organic, no petroleum no micro plastics all the reasons for my purchase. Price isn't bad considering the price for one "plastic designer brush" . So if you'd like to feel like a real Forrest dweller and brush with nature you've come to the right spot.

I have been using this toothbrush for about a month and overall I really love them and the packaging! I have been trying to reduce my plastic consumption and have always hated plastic toothbrushes. I don't like the taste of plastic and how the nylon bristles hold smells and tastes. Luckily this toothbrush with boar hair does not hold any smells or taste!! It has it's own subtle smell on it's own (as does most things), but it is not a bad smell. It's also fully compostable which is a huge plus. For me I've had minimal bristles fall out. Every now and again one will fall out but it's not a big deal because you spit out all the toothpaste anyway so the one bristle every now and again is just spit out. That can be a big con for people, but it's honestly not a big deal to me. The toothbrush head is also rather bulky, it was an adjustment at first to open my mouth wider to brush my teeth, but I also feel like I brush my molars better because I have to really pay attention and open my mouth wider. Overall my teeth actually feel cleaner. This toothbrush is more of a medium softness so if you have super sensitive teeth or damaged enamel this might not be for you. I have found after a couple weeks the bristles actually get softer over time. I keep my toothbrush out of the bathroom because humidity can lead to mold growth! This is not a fault of the toothbrush, but a normal occurrence on natural fibers in very wet or humid conditions, so keep your toothbrushes stored in a dry area of your home. Those little toothbrush holders with holes at the top are humid and wet inside. Honestly disgusting by themselves, don't store this toothbrush in one of those in your humid bathroom. Keep this toothbrush dry and clean it (anything that goes into your mouth should be cleaned every now and again) and you should have no issues!

These boar hair toothbrushes are much better than the horse hair toothbrushes that I tried. For one thing, these boar hair toothbrushes look and feel like regular toothbrushes except thinner and lighter to hold and use in the mouth. That helps a little to make it easier to get into crevices, behind rear molars, or wherever you want it to go. They have the firmness of regular nylon toothbrushes, not the weird softness of horse hair. I've never had any problem with bristles coming off, eating bristles, and this is no exception. There are plenty of bamboo toothbrushes on the market, but don't be fooled, as they have bamboo handles with nylon bristles. These have bamboo handles with boar hair bristles only. This is huge if, you know, you want to take a break from cramming plastic down your throat every day. Hehe.

I have used these for the past 6 months. Each brush has lasted between 6-8 weeks before they became too soft to use. When you first get them they are quite stiff but give it 10 days or so and you’ll feel them soften up. I actually look forward to using the stiffer brush when I switch brushes I do use a tooth powder, not a paste and I tap it as dry as possible after each use I have had a couple of loose bristles but nothing too terrible or memorable maybe 1-2 at a time, not losing half the head or anything. They get my teeth very clean The biggest adjustment for me has been that the head of the toothbrush is quite wide so fitting it between my cheek and back teeth also took some adjust to as well.

My other half and I tried these toothbrushes. The concept is great and makes you feel like you are doing something great for yourself and the environment. They are lightweight, comfortable to hold, feel great and sturdy at the first contact with your teeth. Until... next thing you know, you are being choked out by boar hairs. Never in my life did I think I would experience or share this type of adventure. I read some reviews before purchase but wanted to learn the hard way. The hairs will attack you with no warning. You never know when it will be a chocking hazard or a nice clean teeth experience. Be warned this will be a gift that keeps on giving. Not only when you play the chance game but even after, you are left with the feeling of hair in your mouth trying to creep it's way to choke you. It may be hair or it may be your mind playing tricks. I must add that the bristles loose strength quickly but the first couple of weeks they feel nice and sturdy. We hoped that the first ones we grabbed were duds. On the first swap we ran our thumbs through the bristles and continued under water to get any loose ones off (it did not help). Only 2 out of the pack did not provide the exciting game of choke or no choke roulette for the first couple of weeks of usage. Good luck to the other brave ones who will play this choke roulette game after us!

Arrived more than a week earlier than scheduled, so full marks to the seller. Everything was in order. The product itself, fully satisfied. Wood and bristles, simple as. Tried it immediately. Head a little smaller than I'm usually used to but you adapt. Bristles are not rough at all and did their job. Easy to clean and use, and no (known) harmful ingredients. Will get another once they're near used up (6 toothbrushes and you can use each for up to 5-8 weeks, so one pack lasts a long while).

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! I’m not usually one to write reviews as I rarely make the time, but these toothbrushes/brand absolutely deserve it! :) I love them! My teeth and gums have never felt better! The bristle thickness is just perfect! I’ll admit, I was a little nervous at first about using boar hair, but I knew I couldn’t go back to plastic. Plastic toothbrushes used to cut my gums and gave me ulcers... but since switching to these boar hair toothbrushes, that’s all in the past. I feel free from the toxins of plastic, and my oral health has truly improved. I highly recommend these boar hair toothbrushes and genuinely hope they continue to be available. I’m a customer for life, there’s no turning back! Sidenote: Only Sometimes the hairs come out, but that's really no big deal, just be gentle with brushing, and it is expected and nothing like the amount of bristles that were coming out of the plastic toothbrushes I was using. Besides, I'd prefer to swallow boar hair than plastic! Thanks for selling these awesome boar bristle toothbrushes, they really are fantastic! :)
